Don't eat here anymore. Wow, this used to be a good place, in fact great. I have been going there for almost 20 years. I had wondered why the last 2 times it was not so great and the waitress had such an attitude. Well, new owners! Prices higher, food most likely will be served cold. And that great home cooked meal, gone. My vegtables came out cold while the waitress ran out into the parking lot to talk to her friends, huh... Oh well, that is the last time I go there.

Our favorite local spot!. The BEST breakfast in Dunedin! My wife and I have tried all the local places, and this has proven to be our favorite by far. Our meals have always been great, the staff is friendly and efficient. It is now our new home away from home!

Drive on by!. At least the waitress was nice. The food is very plain. You would be wise to drive past this one!!

Anytime, Anyone. This is, by far, the best place to eat in all of Pinellas County, if not the entire Tampa Bay area. Take it from me, I work next door to the place and have lunch there all the time. Iris' is great- for the casual lunchtime crowd or for the working businessman that has to be done in an hour or less.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, always friendly, and never without a smile and a "Hello." The food is excellent and the wait time is practically nill.

The only thing I would say is choose your time wisely. If you go on a weekday between 12 and 1, expect a reasonable amount of waiting, as Iris' is the spot for the locals.

Good homestyle fare. Here's the dish. Iris' is one of those places where the locals go because the food is decent and reasonably priced. If you go regularly, the specials will include new dishes to try. Kind of like eating at Mom's. The desserts are excellent, and they try new things there too. Little turnover in the wait staff makes it a comfortable, friendly place with people who are efficient but relaxed. All work together to keep the restaurant clean. And, just like at Mom's, they get to know their regular customers preferences. So, try it a few times. See you there!

Homey and friendly, this restaurant is a longtime favorite with locals.. The Scene
Inside, it's painted an unappetizing green, but the lace curtains and oddball antiques hung around the room compensate. Seat yourself, get your own menu if you have to--this is a no-frills joint. Still, it boasts all the necessities. It's clean, the waitresses smile and say "hello," and the food is hearty, simple and well-prepared. You can't beat its location, right across the street from Grant Field, a baseball park where minor league games are played.

The Food
Huge, hearty breakfasts include pancakes, big circles of fresh, light batter fried and served with sizzling sausage patties. The "breakfast sandwich" consists of a fried egg and sausage patty atop a toasted English muffin with melted cheese--nothing fancy, but very satisfying. Lunches include hot roast beef sandwiches and a homemade chicken salad perched in a fresh cantaloupe half.

Good cheap eats, but.... Typical "mom's diner" place. Good aspects - friendly people, deliciously simple food, adequate portions, by the ball yard. Downsides - noisy, smoky, crowded at times, geriatics galore. In short, if you can navigate the walkers and tolerate the "neighbors,' you'll eat well for about twenty bucks for two!

OVERRATED. I took the family after reading all these rave reviews and found the food and portions average at best.I and my wife don't get it!
