GOOD FOOD AND A GREAT VOICE

MY GROUP OF 8 PEOPLE WERE AT KALLY K'S LAST WEEK FOR A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. WE HAD A GERMAN SPECIAL THAT WAS VERY VERY GOOD, AND OTHERS HAD STEAK AND FISH. ONE FISH IN PARTICULAR WAS GARLIC CRUSTED AND IT WAS AMAZING,NICE TECTURE AND TASTE.

THE BEST THING WAS YET TO COME. ALEX, THE OWNER, SURPRIZED MY FRIEND, WHEN HE STARTED TO SING IN A TENORS VOICE HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR NANCY. IT MADE OUR NIGHT. THANKS ALEX!

The hostiess who answers the phone should be replaced. She doen't want to answer any questions. I asked about today's specials and she said there are 10 of them and refused to tell me what they were. She was very rude and caused me to not want to go there. It is a shame because we have eaten there before and the food is good and fairly priced. Get rid of her!

Customer is'nt right here !

Just moved to Dunedin and thought we would give this place a try. Myself , husband ,daughter and granddaughter . prices I admit are good....if you want to eat the food the way they serve it , not how you order it. my husband had the fish special said it wasnt bad , daughter and granddaughter had the chicken tenders they also were not bad but nothing to brag about . I ordered the ny strip special asked for it medium, It came out well done , had them put on another one 5 minutes later it comes out.... raw. By this time everyone is finished with their meals and grandbaby is ready to go so I ask that it just be taken off my check and was told I would be charged $8.00 for a small salad from the salad bar (which by the way was not impressive at all )when the meal itself was only $12 . The waitress went as far as to tell me that this cook(who i assume is in charge ) went as far one time to throw the food at her once when the customer sent it back. Dont waste your money here I know I will never go back too many other places that strive to please the customer .

BAD AND TRYING TO GET OVER ON THEIR CUSTOMERS

I recently went in for a meal at Kally-K's. While the salad bar was the expected norm, my fish was a disgusting let down. I've had fish may times at Kally-K's with great results in the past. In fact, the only reason I go to this retaurant is for the fish. It's always been great. I ordered the grouper. The fish arrives and I take my first bite. Instantly I know it's not grouper by taste and I'm surprized by a number of pin bones. I make my problem known to the person I'm told is in charge. She insists the fish is grouper and wants to show me an uncooked piece of fish to prove her point. She brings out a very thin pink piece of fish with a ton of pin bones still in it and quite a number just sitting on top of the filet. I point out to her that grouper is a white fish prior to being cooked. She continues her defense and I realize this is going nowhere and we leave. I don't know how true it is, but a friend of my wife tells us the restaurant changed hands and they aquired all new Chefs/Cooks. That my be part of the problem, but the Chefs/Cooks didn't lie to me about what they served me. My advice, if you like fish, seek a better choice.

Great Value!

I have recently dined at Kally K's and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I went there on a Sunday after church with a group of six. It was busy yet we were greeted and sat immediately. I ordered the fried chicken. It was soooo good. I also loved the variety on the salad bar. Our waitress was very attentive and we never had to wait too long for anything. Lastly I enjoyed a nice iced cappuccino. The waitress told me that they had just added them to the menu. At $2.95 another great value. I definitely recommend this place to anyone.
