Lobster Haven

Great lobster dinners. We recently moved to the Tampa area and were looking for a good live lobster restaurant. We like a casual atmosphere, reasonable pricing, and excellent food. I had an unexpectedly difficult time finding this type of restaurant. We don't really care for Red Lobster, and other live lobster places like the Lobster Pot and The Palm are very pricey. After an internet search I found Lobster Haven. We invited our guests from NY NY to dine there with us and everyone loved the food. It was truly excellent. The lobsters were very flavorful and tender (not tough or rubbery like in some restaurants). The owner said he had a secret recipe for corn-on-the-cob and we believed him because it was just better than any we had tried before. The redskin potatoes were melt in your mouth delicious. The prices for lobster were so reasonable that we also tried the lobster chowder. No potatoes, just silky creamy with hunks of lobster--awesome. The owners were on-site and made us all feel welcome and provided excellent service. The atmosphere is very "new england" small, locally owned, lobster diner. The seating area is off of their seafood market area but the owners Pat and Patty said they are going to more than double the size of the eating area in the near future. Our guests from Manhattan have had lobster around the world and loved Lobster Haven. They were still raving about it two days later! We will definitely be going back for more lobster!…
