HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

My dining guest and I arrived to an empty restaurant at 6PM on a Tuesday night recently. We got looked at by all 6 employees who were hanging out at the bar and one of those appeared to be "management" , but still we were not greeted. We uncomfortably walked to a table and was then greeted by one girl and told another girl was going to be our server. I call them girls because that is what it seemed like, a bunch of girls hanging out . definately not servers. that term requires one care about their job.

Anyway after overhearing one of the girls say that she cut her finger and the lemon juice hurts it, I was grateful that I didnt order anything with a lemon, alas, the water came with a lemon attached to the glass. Our server girl mispronounced Chianti , I asked what 3 favorite dishes were and she pointed out practically the whole menu. the pasta in the signature Pasta Fagiole soup were way overcooked, and the "tossed" salad that came with the dinner was iceberg with soggy cucumbers and a plastic cup of dressing placed on the side. all very diner-like.

Our pastas were surprisingly nice although the "famous" Lasagna lacked flavor. it was all very rushed since our salads and soups came out within 30 seconds of each other. Our entrees came out before our salad plates were cleared and the server had to use the table next to us as a bustray.

All very sloppy and not in keeping with the nice upscale decor.

It would have been nice to have a cloth napkin at those prices ,$18 for a bowl of pasta,but the paper napkin roll-up! was utilitarian with the ultra- cheap utensils. The paper on our table was dirty and the neighbor table had drips all down the side of the underlaying table cloth. and the overhead spot lights around the dining room went on and off at will as if there is a short in the wiring.

As locals, we will not be back.

Very good family owned restaurant.

We arrived on a busy Sunday night in season - late April without a reservation and were quickly seated. They had a classic guitar player who was playing nice music to entertain us. We saw many families but also many couples there. The table next to us was a family from Long Island who had a pizza that looked good but we were looking for something a little nicer than pizza. (Although I hear the pizza is good!) My wife chose the lasagna and I had pasta with white clam sauce. Both were very good and service was pretty good despite the fact that they obviously had more guests than expected. Everyone was hustilng around but working efficiently to keep everyone happy.

If I was headed back to Indian Rocks Beach, I would certainly consider going back. We also went to Salt Rock Grill which was excellent.

• Pros: Great Pasta dishes and I understand the pizza is also good.

Take the pizza to go.

The pizza was good, but the rest of the experience was miserable. Service was slow, didn't deliver ordered items, delivered incorrect items and the place was very noisy. I don't know why I'd go back.
