Bugs (crawfish, the yummy kind) and Beer. Where else can you get bugs (crawfish) in Pinellas Park? This place has great Cajun food, and one of the best craft beer lists in Saint Petersburg. They also fly in their sausages from Louisiana, and they are tremendous. Plus its located on a beautiful part of Joe's creek, giving it a very authentic cajun vibe. Crawfish, sausages, and Abita beer in my back yard keeps me happy when I'm not in NOLA.
Great food and atmosphere!. I eat at the Cajun Cafe regularly. I love the chicken etoufee and dirty rice. They also have a great selection of craft beer. Oh and you must try the whisky bread pudding. The atmosphere is great. Huge patio with seating on the bayou. Service is fantastic and the owner's are usually there to chat with as well. Great people and great food.
WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIME IS THE CAJUN CAFE ON THE BAYOU ON PARK BLVD! Went there tonight with friends...Server was so rude! I ordered the Jambalaya and it was AWFUL! Server didnt even apologize or take it off the bill! When we asked for the manager the owners came out and said "we don't care if you didnt't like it you are going to pay for it..and continued to argue with us and belittle us..saving we dont need people like you we dont care if we lose customers...NEVER in my life had an owner tell me this...The male owner then proceded to run around the corner and get in my boyfriends face! WHAT! There was us which was a party of 6 and a party of 13 bebind us agreeing with us 100%...They then called the COPS on us! WTF! Told the cop we were refusing to pay our bill! WE NEVER SAID THAT! The owners were completely unprofessional and extremely rude...Said we didnt know what real cajun food was if I didn't like their Jambalaya...EXCUSE ME I was born and raised on Cajun food...half my family is Cajun! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER GO THERE...
DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS!!!.
Went here with some friends on a Sunday afternoon and got asked to leave for our friends baby who was babbling!! Told us they couldn't bring us our dessert and asked us to leave after handing us our $200 food tab.
Definitely not a kid friendly restaurant!!
My favorite cajun place. OK, here's the deal... start out by ordering 5 pounds of crawfish for every 2 or 3 people at the table, then have the crawfish cornbread and a cup of gumbo, after consuming all the crawfish, have some fried softshell crab, or a roast beef po-boy. but whatever you do or how full you get... you must have the bread pudding with the whisky sauce, slurp. I love this place and I havent had anything bad yet, on 3 visits. EXCELLENT CAJUN FOOD.
Priced right for me!!. I am not sure if this last guy went in this Cafe, but ever since I have been going there (11 years) they have had Crawfish Boudin or Pork Boudin and even Boudin Bals. But why would a Restaurant sell Pork Cracklin? All the food is served with the right portion, chain Restaurants is the place for piles of fried mush!! I eat here at least 10 times a year, and apart from a wait, when they are busy, never really had a ny problems!! Perhaps there was a page missing from the menu?
This one is tuff for me to rate. Food was good but NO Cajun Crackin or Boudin! All come on now.. We live close and always pass this place. Decide to stop in after I saw an episode on Dirty Jobs were Mike Rowe was making Cajun Crackin from pork skin and Boudin made like sausage. Made me hungry and wanted to try it. You would expect a Cajun restaurant to serve this right? Wrong! Not this place. I couldn't believe it. Their excuse was it is too much trouble to make it. Baloney! What kind of a Cajun Restaurant is this that doesn't serve cracklin and boudin? Since we were there we ordered crab cake patties and shrimp. The wife's shrimp tasted too fishy for her and my crab cakes were very good but the portion was small. Food was very pricy for the place with small portions. Great atmosphere but don't think will be back. I'm still looking for cracklin & boudin. Chow.
Neat Cafe. I was in this Cafe in May, the service was good, it was very busy. The food tasted very authentic, and the ambiance awesome!! My friend loved the different beers, and even tried the 5 tasters. I have not ran into many places like this on my travels, so I will definately be back, keep up the good work.
Finally, good Cajun Style food. Been past many a time, and finally went in. What a suprise, clean, nice servers, and great food. I, will definately be back!! The Catfish was great!!
this place has AWFUL FOOD!.
I dont know if i just WENT ON
a BAD day....or if they got a new chef??/ Im reading these other reviews and I am baffled. I was there last night and the catfish was awful!! iit was bad fish!! I tried sending it back and they were less than accomodating!
I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!!
