Sparkling White Beaches that put the others to shame!.
Clearwater Beach is one of the nicest beaches you'll find. Unlike the gritty sand or crushed coral you'll find in Ft Lauderdale, the soft sand is so white, it'll blind you! Make sure you bring your shades. The water is clean and clear. Not to mention, being on the gulf, you can walk rather far into the water before going over your head. Not to mention, you can see where you walk in the water!
There's a variety of things to do there. The weeks are calmer than the weekends. Parking is pretty good considering it's such a busy place. You can also stay and watch the sunset! Most weekends, you'll find a band playing with covered shelter for you to sit and listen.
There are ample showers and places to change your clothes if you like. Then head across or down the street to get some great fresh seafood. Yes, there is more than seafood at most all of the places.
It's a long strip of white sand, so if you love long walks on the beach, this place is for you. A good mixture of people makes it just right.
Do I like it? Oh yeah... So much, I moved here now! Jealous? =)
The biggest misconception along the Gulf is that only tourists come to this beach..
Overview
Clearwater Beach is actually an island several miles long but only four city blocks wide. The average year-round temperature is 73 degrees, 75 in the water. Every moment presents itself as a photo op here, starting with the roundabout and fountain at the entrance to the beach. It's all picture perfect--from the white beach to the gulf waters and all that's in between.

Water not Clear. Clearwater Beachs water is not clear. For great water you have to go south from Anna Maria to Siesta. Cleaner, less crowded and safer.
SIMPLY THE BEST. CLEARWATER IS JUST A BEAUTIFUL,RELAXING PLACE TO VISIT. I LIVE IN ORLANDO,BUT I GO TO CLEARWATER AS OFTEN AS I CAN. THE WAY OF LIFE IN CLEARWATER IS SO MUCH MORE LAID BACK THAN IN ORLANDO.
White Sand. White sand, clean water, clean beach, friendly people, beauty, nearby shopping and restaurants.
My backyard!. I recently moved to the area and live 3 miles north of Clearwater and can be at the beach in less than 15 minutes. Life is grand when your backyard looks like this--not to mention the most beautiful sunsets around!
Romantic?. . . Oh yeah. . . .. My husband & I spent the most wonderful, romantic day on this beautiful, clean, family beach. It has everything available. You only have to relax and enjoy the water and the air. I recommend this beach to the young and old alike. It has something for everyone!!!!
