Excellent wine list with fair prices.
Highly recommend Bobby's bistro...vast wine list with very fair prices. The food was equally very good and reasonably priced. The restaurant carers to an older crowd but my 2 teenagers were fine and happy. We ate the previous night at Emeril's in Orlando; Bobby's by far was better on all counts; wine, food and service for half the cost.

You know if you belong.
The reviewer who said "we want to keep it for ourselves" beautifully expresses the overall feeling of this place. The maitre d' motioned to our seats so bruskly we missed which way he was pointing. The waiter attempted to take our order with dirty plates in his arms. A patron asked us why he had not seen us at the Carlouel Yacht Club. The message is that they don't care about your experience if they don't recognize you as a regular. I will say the waiter cheerfully removed a salad that was missing several ingredients and he brightened when we ordered a nice bottle of Pinot Noir. The escargot were very good and the entrees excellent. So, if all you care about is good food and don't mind being treated like you have invaded a private club, then Bobby's Bistro is worth a visit (maybe a night other than Saturday woud be better?)

California cuisine and a variety of wines kept at a consistent 55 degrees make this bistro a must..
In Short
A block from the beach, this easier version of Bobby Heilman's main restaurant offers a la carte dining in four distinct rooms. From The Bordeaux Room adjacent to the wine cellar to the The Patio outside, choose the room to suit your mood. Step into the wine bar and marvel at the extensive international inventory of more than 20,000 bottles. Dive into sizzling sherry garlic shrimp, a half-rack of JamAsian baby back ribs, or a made-to-order gourmet pizza.

You shouldn't.
go because we want to keep it just for ourselves.
Seriously, it's a block from the beach and is annexed to the famous Heilman's restaurant. It isn't well promoted by the owners. That is a good thing because if it weren't for the Island Way restaurant about a half-mile, Bobby's would be packed every night.
I have been there on one occasion when the normally well trained and well-mannered bartender kicked out a very obnoxious patron but other than that it has been a great experience. Honestly it was fun to watch the guy get what had been coming to him for a long time.
A value for me because I like to live well-heeled on a small budget.l
