I just bought a brand new 2013 Chevy Malibu last month. I love my car!!! My experience was by far the best I've ever had at a car dealership. The entire dealership from pre-approval, sales, financing and servicing was beyond courteous and helpful. I especially enjoyed my experience with my salesman Bryan Sparks. He was fantastic! If you buy a car from this dealership you will not be disappointed. He was honest, sincere, knowledgeable, and an overall nice guy that made the process fun and easy. Went to Dimmitt Chevrolet to purchase a 2013 Chevy. It was supposed to be an easy ALL CASH deal. The salesman at Dimmitt would not come down in price from the retail. Not one penny. I ended up walking out to find a better deal elsewhere. Two days later, the salesman called me to tell me that someone had purchased the vehicle that I was interested in, but she wanted to return it. He said that they do not allow buyers to return a car they just purchased and they would only take it back from her if I agreed to buy it. Apparently they are not honoring Chevy's new "Love it or Leave it" program, allowing buyers to bring back their new vehicles if they are dissatisfied for whatever reason. In the meantime, I had called Gordon Chevrolet who gave me a great price for the same vehicle. I asked Dimmitt to match their price and they were unwilling to work with me. The salesman, William, told me that Gordon Chevrolet was lying and he suggested that I go to the other dealership and attempt to purchase the vehicle for that price - "It won't happen" he said. Well I did go to Gordon Chevrolet and I DID get the price offered and it was the best car buying experience of my life! Nice, helpful, and HONEST! Anyone thinking about dealing with Dimmitt Chevrolet should take a look at Gordon Chevrolet's prices first! I would even be willing to pay full price at Gordon Chevrolet to not have to deal with the folks at Dimmitt. I seriously do not understand how they are still in business.
This dealer is unscrupulous. Called and requested new car sales. Advised them what I was looking for (Cruz LS with Auto) and that I was checking prices. Was told that the Cruz was on sale. I asked if they could send me a written quote by email. The associate did so, I called to verify all the additional fees (dealer fee, tax, title, etc...). The price was acceptable. I asked that they reserve the car and we would be in when they opened the next day. We did so, when it came time to finalize numbers the price jumped up $1000 form the written quote they provided less than 24 hours prior. Needless to say we left and went 5 miles down the road to the next best offer we had. Either their sales staff is untrained and submits offers that they can't commit to or this was purposeful deception.
Refused to give back my keys!!. We went for a test drive on a 2012 vehicle a week ago with a very "passive" salesman. They tried, unsuccessfully, to get me to give them my social security number so they could run my credit. I told them repeatedly I wanted to see bottom line figures first. Then they took my keys so they could give me a quote on my trade-in, but afterwards they wouldn't give the keys back!! My husband and I asked 3 times for the darn keys back and they kept blowing us off. So instead, my husband walked up to the front counter and took them back and got a bad attitude from them for it. Taking/keeping your keys is a tactic that I've only heard about until now. Good job, Dimmitt...you didn't get my business!! HAHA
Amazing service. We had driven down from SC to visit my mother inlaw over Labor Day when my transmission on my '07 Tahoe LTZ acted up... I had a choice between two dealerships and selected Dimmitt. And was I ever happy I did. I'm not much good for Dimmitt being in SC but if we ever move to the Clearwater area, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to buy another Chevy from Dimmitt... in fact, I almost did while browsing their inventory - they had the perfect 2nd car... a short bed, regular cab, black 1,500. I told everyone how totally amazed I was at the level of service I received at Dimmitt I came in contact with while in FL and everyone in SC when they asked us why we didn't return on the date we said we would. If business in general responded like Dimmitt... I think our economy would improve on its own, quickly!!
Superb Customer Service/Dealership;. I had originally gone to Dimmitt for repairs to my 2008 Chevy HHR that I bought at another dealership. After I had several ongoing problems with this vehicle, it was brought to the new car sales attention by Shannon (extremely helpful), to Chris "Paul" Neumann. Let me tell you as soon as you walk in Dimmitt EVERYONE goes out of their way to please the customer, but not like other dealerships. They show a genuine interest in getting me what I wanted, and I ended up buying a sharp 2011 Chevy Malibu LS. Chris worked extremely hard to get this deal done, and with the help of the staff around him, I walked out of Dimmitt not only with a new Chevy, that I love to drive, and admire, but a new friend. Thanks Shannon, Chris, Scott, and George Z (service) for the most pleasant experience I have had in buying a car. This is my 8th car in my lifetime, and I will reccommend Dimnmitt to anyone who is interested in getting a Chevy either used or NEW for the best deal in Chevyland. Thanks Again !!!
DO NOT go here if you are a single woman!!. WORST place I have EVER purchased a car, HAnds down! If you are a woman, you do NOT EVER want to go here! I have purchased cars several times in NY (Where I am originally from)....when you purchase one you generally aren't pressured and are treated very well. I was not at all used to the treatement at this dealer. I was advised the car had auto locks and windows, UNTIL I purchased the car....THEN was told "Oops, it had HAND cranks!" I haven't had a car with hand cranks in years. Worse yet? The car with auto locks booked for almost 2 grand LESS than I paid for it! To add fuel (Literally!) to the fire when they sold me the car (brand new mind u!!) it was NOT washed, they sold it to me with a quarter of a tank of gas and when I asked them to fill it up the salesman Allen said "Oh, we can't do that anymore, they don't let us"...WTF?? Anyway, needless to say this was a horrible experience, and I tell everyone daily how bad it is here. The website actually has a great review on the website that I (Supposedly) added, but they fraudulently used my name. I have NEVER said anything good about this place!!
GREAT DEALERSHIP!. I couldnt be more happy with my new Silverado. Very easy to buy...did not feel pressured. The service dept has been great, led by David Rutter, service manager. Very pleasant and honest, straight to the point. I would not hesitate to recommend these guys!
