This place is great.
From the atmosphere, to the food to the extensive wine list! What a winner, never a bad meal.
Always come here for business lunch or romantic dinners. WIfe loves the place. The service is great. The steaks perfectly done, the seafood, uber fresh and the desserts to die for.
THe wine list is great! Lots to choose from for any price range.

Reading reviews can be good and bad, as I was almost scared off from Bascom's Chop House. I can only say that my experience was awesome!! Our server was Kathy and she was both nice and helpful. My wife had the filet and it was by her standards "as good as it gets!!". I had the bone in ribeye and it too was incredible, maybe the only negative was how big the steak was. Quite a lot of food but it made a great sandwich for lunch the next day. For dessert we took Kathy's advice and ordered the berries and cream. Very unique dessert and oh soooo good!!

Predictably excellent food quality,
decent service, and a relaxing ambiance.
Bascom's is not inexpensive, but it doesn't claim to be. Yet for the quality of the food, the prices are quite reasonable. However they charge you for every little addition, including simple sauces. When the waiter asked if I wanted cracked pepper I was tempted to ask him, "How much does it cost?"
If you want top-notch steaks and seafood, this is the place to get it. Service is attentive and the atmosphere is classy yet not intimidating. Most main courses are around $25, and sides are extra. The steaks are dry aged for at least 28 days and the seafood is very fresh. There is a fairly extensive wine list as well.
If you want to impress clients or go out on a pleasant date, I do recommend you try Bascom's.

25% off wine bottles on weekends is quite a good deal as their wine list is extensive. Both my wife and I recommend this restaurant to friends all the time now.

While on vacation in the Tampa - Clearwater area we stopped by Bascom's. We wanted to treat ourselves to a good steak and some fresh seafood. We were greeted by a very pleasant and professional hostess and seated shortly after. Mike, the GM, stopped by our table to introduce himself and tell us a little bit about Bascom's. He too was very pleasant and professional. Molly, our server, was nothing short of extraordinary. On a scale of 1-10, she is a 10. Her entree choice recommendations for us and her ability to explain all their menu items in detail wowed us. We chose the lobster bites, shrimp, and crab meat as our appetizers. The lobster bites are Delicious with a capital D. I had the porterhouse with mushrooms. She had the ribeye with broccoli. The steaks were large and cooked to perfection. We stopped by for a good steak and fresh seafood. We got an amazing steak and some great seafood and a dining experience that we will remember for years. I would recommend Bascom's to anyone looking to enjoy an evening out.

We had a glorious dinner here the other night.had a cozy table for dinner and Phil as out waiter who was spectactular.

Had a bread basket brought out with soft butter, Nice selection of rolls, sunflower , poppy seed and a plain white. Very good.

Had a cocktail before dinner, a blueberry hill martini, it was very good and not too sweet like most are. ($9) Hubby had a guiness ($6.25) They have happy hour only at the bar for $1 off drinks, they do not offer draughts.

Bascom's Chophouse is the undisputed leader in the race for Pinellas County's best Steakhouse. There are not any even close. Consistently excellent.
