Worth the drive. Fantastic, Fresh, inexpensive and quality service. When I read the review by akaryu98 I had to respond. We've been eating at Joto for about 5 years. We used to go there 3-4 times a week but now only occasionally as we moved 240 miles from there. What I don't understand is how akaryu98 could say they moved when another patron was staring at them. That is the wierdest thing I ever heard of in a restaurant review. All I can say is that I've eaten at thousands of restaurants around the world (airline Captain) and for the money you can't get better sushi or sashimi. Their teriyaki also rocks. I've always found the staff, gracious and generous.

Not worth it!. We were extremely disappointed with the sushi...our meal tasted like it was sitting in the fridge for a few days. Plus there was not much sushi selection. Won't be going back there again.

great sushi restaurant. so i have been looking for a restaurant that would serve me sushi as good as Sushi Matsuri did and i found it. this is probably one of the best sushi restaurant in clearwater. the sushi there is really fresh and they also have a special board with daily special fish they offer. the chefs look like 3 older(experience) japanese sushi chef(oh how i would love to work under them). the wait staff is great, really friendly and fast. in conclusion, this restaurant is a must for all you sushi lovers. hope this helped you pick a restaurant tonight.

Joto = YumYum!. Having eaten at many area sushi restaurants, Joto is by far the best.

The food is delicious, the sushi chefs are wonderful, and the wait staff is lovely.

Joto is where the sushi lovers eat <3

Displeased.Employees are a bit condescending and understrained, slow service, owner is not very friendly.. At Jo-to. we were seated quickly. but we chose to move to a table beacuse of another customer staring at us. asked the waiter to bring over everything to our table. some of our sushi condiments were discarded by the sushi chefs becuase the waited never brought. when inquired to waitress she checked it out and said that such condiments are not allowed at the dining tables. that it would cost extra. I speak japanese and talked to the manager, trying to fix this misunderstanding. Owner being japanese, i spoke to him in japanese, discreetly. finally he grudgingly gave we the condiment to bring back to oru table. from that point the waitress gave us a snobby look for the duration of the meal.

It wasn't very crowded, but the serfice could've been better. IT woud have been wiser to leave after the misunderstanding and not order dinner but i felt i shoudl give them a second chance as the owner thought we hadn't ordered anything or intended to. when in fact we order 2 appetizers 1 of them sushi and 1 sake and one plum wine. I find their courtesy and service lacking, their food is medium grade.I was insulted by the way they treated me and would give joto no more than 2 stars for service 3 stars for their food.

good sushi. great sushi, very fresh and for a good price. Shashimi dinner was awesome! Makimono rolls were Ok. I will surely come back!:)

Killer Sushi. This is the best sushi around as far as freshness and value. Always consistent and fresh!! Worth the drive from Tampa!!

A chain that doesn't disappoint? Finally.. The Scene
Chain restaurants usually arouse immediate suspicion, and with good reason. We're used to them producing the same tired, unimaginative food that appeals to the masses, rarely revamping their menu or offering anything unusual.

Luckily, JoTo is different. Their sushi is some of the best and freshest in the Bay area, and their service is courteous and swift. Order from an extensive sushi menu, or, for the less adventurous, sample their decent variety of surf 'n' turf.

Affordable. Large portions, fresh raw fish at great prices. Good service. Large sushi varieties.
