$5.00 Haircut. I got a good $5.00 haircut her for $20.00. When I sat down the lady that cut my hair never asked how I liked it, she just parted it where "she" wanted to and started cutting. 15 minutes later I had a barbershop haircut that I will just live with until it grows out and can be repaired.

Business Closed. Avantgarde Salon closed in February 2008. The space was rented to a new owner and is currently operating as another salon named Savvy. Prevsiously, the owner managed New Impression Salon on US 19 & Curlew. The only remaining stylist is Sal Burgio. The interior was completed renovated.

Great Haircut!!. I got my haircut by Fran at Avantgarde for the first time this weekend. I love it! I've gotten many compliements on the cut. I also had some waxing done and that was great, too. Brenda C. did a great job and was super nice. The owners greeted me and were very friendly. I was told of all of the changes that are being made and are yet to be made to the salon. It 's already a great salon /spa and once they are completed with the renovations, it will be even better. The employees all seemed thrilled with the new changes that are taking place. Great job...I'll be back and will refer my friends, too!

New owners- what a change!. Recently this salon was acquired by new owners, and you can tell they cater to their clients! I had a pedicure in the AM on Valentine's Day by Mya (who does a great set of nails!) and was handed a yummy brownie and some grape juice by Gary (one of the owners). Then I was back the next day for color and cut with Patrick (who does a fabulous job btw), and I was offered yet another brownie & some wine! Is this a spa or a salon?? I felt pampered, pretty and very satisfied with my results and genuinely welcomed at Avantgarde. You should check it out.

Jay is Great. I have been going to this salon for 7 years and have sent several friends. Jay is great with color and provides a nice cut. It is not a high service or a pretentious salon. They get the job done well.

You're in Good Hands. After a long search, I've been coming to this salon, for quite a while. My stylist is the only one who can make my thin fine hair look fashionable, stylish, and healthy. Coloring expertise is excellent. I get lots of compliments, which makes it worth every penny. The staff is friendly and efficient. I can relax because I know I'm in good hands. Products are available , but no one presses you to buy.

Not so Pampering. This was an ok or average salon. They did great work, but were sort of rood and stuck up. My hair turned out fine, but I would never return to this particular salon because of the unpleasent atmosphere, and add thei high price for a average cut and color NOT WORTH the time of even driving the 2 min. drive for me. Attitude and feeling welcome is a large part of enjoying the pampering fun of a day at the salon. This salon left me feeling anguished with the way I was mistreated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
