Located a mile from St. Petersburg Beach, Isla Del Sol features new greens built to USGA specifications and a tropical-style layout with more than 1,000 palm trees. Designed by Mark Mahana, the course on an island (hence the name) and is not tremendously long but narrow throughout, with undulating greens. Much of the trouble is hidden from the tee and accurate club selection is a must.
