not a pleasant experience.... Tokyo Bay must be under new management...it is less than a pleasurable experience...

Went there a few days ago with my family. Our waiter hardly spoke English and we're pretty sure she didn't understand a word we said. Took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. Only 3 tables (including us) were full, so we were surprised that it took almost 45 minutes to get our food. My daughter is vegetarian so she ordered the vegetarian sushi. When our food finally came out we received one large plate with four different sushi rolls...and yes, right in the middle, was my poor daughter's vegetarian plate...covered in fish eggs and eel sauce. When we told our waiter she did nothing. The octopus was also terrible. The waiter came back when my son was still eating and began clearing our plates...like she was trying to get us out. In fact, she brought the check while my son was still eating!

Its pretty hard to believe that this is the best St. Pete Beach has to offer for sushi...

Fantastic sushi restaurant. I have been to this restaurant a few times and would highly recommend it. There is a wide selection of great sushi rolls. Also, if you're going out with a group of friends and happen to not be a sushi fan yourself, there are several good non-sushi meals to choose from. Additionally, the green tea ice cream is a great dessert that I haven't seen available anywhere else, personally. One other point is that the restaurant sits near the water and has a great view; there is outdoor seating there if you want to enjoy the view up close.

Awesome food, Great Value & Friendly atmosphere. I have been to this restaurant twice, and both times my friends and I were all extremely satisfied. I have been to many different Sushi restaurants in many different cities, and I really enjoyed Tokyo Bay?s food. I am very selective with raw fish ? but I love their Sashimi! We started with Tuna Martini as appetizers, and it is really fresh. We couldn?t stop eating them. We then ordered several other maki and sushi rolls, and I am very impressed with all of them. The chef recommended some special rolls and they were outstanding! I could tell that they use great quality fish to make their sushi. Okay, lastly dessert ? I live for dessert. And if you are like me, you have to try their Tempura Ice Cream in Green Tea flavor. I LOVE IT! So save some room when you go to Tokyo Bay, you HAVE to try their Tempura Ice Cream?I highly recommend it!!

great sushi at great prices. All the rolls were reasonably priced and a decent size. I'd recomend anything on the menu. One of the chefs was talking college football with us while preparing our order so that made things more fun. The place was so good me and my friends made a return visit in just a few days!

relaxed atmosphere. nice little cozy place overlooking a pond, its definitely not a lake. the food is fantastic, and they give you plenty of it. I over ordered thinking that it would be small portions, I ended up taking half of it home, which i was more then happy to do. service is mediocre but not bad. so if you're looking for a nice little sushi restaurant with great food and a nice relaxed atmosphere this is your place. oh, and the price isn't that bad either. dinner for two including tip i spent around $65 but that was mostly because i ordered way too much.

Not Bad. This place is small, but accomadating with large booths, and outdoor dining overlooking a lake. Sushi is good, and traditional. No crazy American rolls. I have been several times, and have the service spotty, with missed items, and wrong orders, but overall a good "regular" sushi bar.

amazing little hole in the wall. A friend told me about this little place. I took some friends from out of town for sushi. I could not believe the portions and the display. The portions where the biggest I have ever seen and the display was beautiful. The sushi was very fresh and was the best I ve had in along time. The mushroom salad is to die for!!! Excellent service!!! My new favorite place.
