Really love this place!. I go to this Thai restaurant all the time. I've tried alot of things. My favorites are the lo mein, its the bomb. I love the spicy white tuna rolls. I've had the massaman, its really good with the sweet potato if you ask me. but I get extra chicken, because thats the best part. The sweet and sour is so sweet, and one of my favorites. They also give the option of brown rice. This is a very good sushi restaurant, but if you don't like sushi, the Thai food is amazing, and if you want it to be the same as all the others, its not. If you want a new flavor I highly recommend this restaurant. Great people and fantastic food!

Big Disappointment. Perhaps this is an adequate sushi restaurant, but I do not come to Thai restaurants looking for sushi. The first negative indicator was the fact that they do not serve sticky rice (other than as a desert served with sweetened coconut cream and fresh mango). Sticky rice at a Thai restaurant is the equivalent of rice and beans at a Mexican restaurant. We ordered Chicken Paneang and Beef Phad See Eaw. The panang curry sauce was bland (I am still trying to figure out how it is even possible for panang sauce to be bland) and almost tasted watered down. The Phad See Eaw was bland, lacked flavor and was a little too sloppy for my taste. The steamed jasmine rice was good, but my entrees were severely lacking.

Awesome Pad Thai and Sushi Boats !!. My husband and I love this place. The waiters and waitresses are extremely friendly and always remember us and make us feel special when we dine in. We have also eaten take-out many times, and it is always hot and fresh. The sushi is always delicious and the presentation beautiful. I am expecting my second baby now, and can't wait to be able to have sushi again after he is born. We have taken our son there numerous times, and have always felt welcome, even with a boisterous toddler.

This is definitely one of our favorite places to eat in St. Petersburg.

Best Thai / Sushi in town. I have been eaten at all the Thai and Sushi restaurants thorughout St Petersburg and this remains my favorite. They have very authentic and fresh thai food, the owner who makes the sushi, makes the best rolls, it will keep you coming back for more and more!!! There are two male waiters that have been there a very long time and they are both very friendly and attentive.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant because it has been a consistently good restaurant to find fresh and delicious thai and sushi!

I read some of the poor reviews and must say I have not had a bad experience but yes the Massaman does come with sweet potato, which is unique to the standard but you can always ask them to substitute if you do not like that as an option. Happy Eating!!

Not worth the check.... Having worked in Thai restaurants before, I might have a slightly higher expectations compared to others. I picked this restaurant based on reviews only, and was sorely dissapointed for the following reasons:

1. The service was lackluster - it was literally impossible to get the waitress's attention simply by waiting for eye contact or waving my hand. I had to literally wait for her to come within earshot and scream "excuse me". When she served the Satay and the flame went of almost instantaniously, I requested her to re-lit the flame, and after waiting about 10 minutes, decided to forget waiting for her. When she did show up again, it was with the main course - didn't bother to apologize for not getting back with the light.

2. The restaurant wasn't super crowded - however it was (again) incredibly hard to get anyone's attention once I placed my order - even to get a refill of the water

3. My favorite soup is Tom Yum - and their Tom Yup soup smelled and tasted like nothing I have ever tasted, cooked or imagined of .... something like chicken waste

4. The main course was Massamanna Curry and Pad Thai - the Massamanna curry is suppose to come with potatoes (it also said in the menu that it has potatoes) but it came with sweet potato. In over a decade of eating Thai food - never had sweet potato with Massamana curry. Didn't taste good.

The Pad Thai was fair - not unpalatable but not outstanding either

Overall, my impression is that this restaurant should not be on anyone's list of "must go" places. There are better Thai food restaurants in St.Pete

Good food and nice atmosphere. Great food, excellent courteous waiters and waitresses. Also, I noticed it has been remodeled over the years and I like the new look even better. I definitely recommend this place. I do, however, remember one incident where the waiter failed to tell me how hot the plate was and I received a nasty burn on my finger. That was probably ten years ago though :)

User review by cyannne. I very much enjoy the food at this place. I love the simply elegant garnishes of each dish. So sophisticated! Can I also vote for the most friendly service? If so, Thai Orchid will get my Big Vote. All sercice persons are incredibly great. The server can remember my name after the second of my visit.

Thai. As Thai, I recommend this small authentic place. Most of Thai and Asian people know well we can get the real real Thai taste at Thai Orchid. The dishes are exceptional, especially Panang curry and Honey Chicken. Creamy coconut ice cream is also my favorite dessert. If you like special and fancy sushi, ask master chef Toyota. He can create you hundreds of yummy sushi. I get a warm welcome and friendly service everytime of my visit. Absolutely highly recommended!

great sushi. i had a wonderful dinner with friendly service. Even with 3 chrildren under 9 ,we all enjoyed the thai and sushi. The big serprise come when we get the bill VERY REASONABLE.

Great Place!. This place was great, the food, service, decor terrific all the way. Now with Sushi, you really couldn't ask for more.
