Poor customer service by "unfriendly" bartender. I've been in Pinellas County 30yrs and a frequent Sunday afternoon customer of this establishment for several years. And, I really liked the Sunday all you can eat fried chicken, however, the blond barmaid attitude is awful and behaves as if she's doing me a favor by serving me. I went there today about 3pm, the place was empty and the barmaid was outside talking to the Tiki Bar customers, so I left after waiting five minutes for service. In the past I read several bad reviews from others who complained about this woman arrogance and indifferent attitude toward customers, but never before was treated that way, and I always give her a generous tip of at least 3 dollars on 10$ tab. Needless to say, I won't return to that place again as there are real friendly restaurants on the beach, such as Daiquiri Deck with better customer service and excellent food.

Everyone has a good time at the Friendly!!. Great neighborhood bar, the regulars are outside at the Tiki Bar having a great time! Then go inside for an entertaining night of karaoke!!! The regulars in there are aiming to please!! So much fun, lots of laughs! Not fancy, good burgers & sandwiches. Can't wait to go back!

Exactly what its name implies. Everybody's friendly and it's a great place to hang out on a stifling afternoon.. The Scene
If you're at the beach and want to stop somewhere for a casual meal and drinks, try the Friendly Tavern. This is where you take a hot date who doesn't feel like getting dressed up. There's karaoke every night and the vast majority of the singers are surprisingly good. Sit on the patio outside and watch the sunset over the beach (across the street).

The Food
The menu isn't huge, but that makes it easier to decide what to order. The food is fresh and well-done.

Start by letting Brian pour you a beer from one of the eight taps, which arrives frosty. Continue with the appetizer called the "chili sundae," which features chili, sour cream, cheddar cheese, tortilla chips, pepperoncinis—all served in an ice cream sundae fountain glass. The navy bean soup is thick and tasty, but go onto the jumbo hot dog, cooked in beer and topped with sauerkraut; finish with peanut butter pie.

Now, you're ready for anything.
