Editorial Review for Don CeSar Beach Resort & Spa Restaurants – by Sara Kennedy

The Scene
The graceful queen of Bay area hotels opened in 1928, and is now fully renovated. Elegant marble floors and Italian chandeliers make diners feel very special. Between the hotel's restaurants, diners have a drop-dead panorama of sun or moon, sea and sky, a garden-level view of the Gulf of Mexico and the perfect spot to watch beach goings-on.

The Food
On holidays, the Sea Porch Cafe typically serves family-style dinners in a casual setting. The Maritana Grille, the hotel's formal, gourmet restaurant is a nice place for a fancy night out with its dazzling seafood, game and steak selections. During the holidays, four-course dinners are offered with a fixed price that's a good deal. Reserve Sunday mornings for the King Charles Ballroom where a bounty of fruits, seafood, meats and desserts make up the brunch buffet.

This is one of my favorite places for champaigne Sunday Brunch. The food goes on forever and the service is excellent. I always make sure I go here when in Florida. The food and service are always on the A list and the views of the Gulf are excellent. Bill Clinton dined here. If it's good enough for a President, it's good enough for me!!! Tip: Save room for dessert. They make everything fresh, in front of you.

Pros: Excellent Food, Excellent Service, Excellent Atmosphere
