if you like bad food, go here. if you like Hormel chili and Government issued cheese, try their Nachos!!! I never thought you could mess up Nachos, but Gators has managed to do so. The WORST food I have EVER had. YUCK! You should really try their watered down drinks, too. NOT WORTH THEIR HIGH PRICES!!!

Don't bother!!. We went because my son is a huge gators fan. The atmosphere was good, great for my son and husband. We were told to seat ourselves, we waited for 10 minutes at one table then moved to another thinking the waitress couldn't see us then waited for about 5 more until one waitress stopped by to tell us our waitress would be back in a minute. Finally we got service when our food came there wasn't any silverware ok for the sandwich my son had, but the rest of us ordered "real" food. When I asked for silverware the server not the waitress dropped off the plastic packs over my sons head on to the table.

We paid 100 dollars for a dinner that I could have had for about 60 at winghouse and had better service at least.

Becareful before you get ripped off. Have to say probably this bar has the best bands on the beach, too bad their employees are not that great. Had an experience where we ordered the same 2 drinks from three different employees and received 3 different prices. In two of the instances we were overchared. After speaking with the manager he stated they would check the video tapes of that night and if there was an error he would take care of it by firing the 2 employees for ripping us off, but did not offer to credit us our money. We went back a week later just to see and the same employees up to their same tricks of overcharging. We are locals so I can imagine how much they rip off the people vacationing in the area as none of them seemed to be paying attention to their bills.

A shrine to the University of Florida with good eats, tasty drinks and a great waterfront bar.. In Short
Built with everything Gator in mind, this expansive shrine to the University of Florida and well-chilled beverages claims to have the world's largest waterfront bar. It also has the area's only non-smoking mahogany bar overlooking John's Pass. With a full slate of live music, Gators gets packed. That means hot, sweaty bodies in close proximity on the open-air main deck. There's also a wide range of beers (try the Kalik, from the Bahamas) and frozen specialty drinks.
