AWESOME FOOD N SERVICE! a Must stop when at the beach!. EXCELLENT Veal Parm dinner! Huge portion of veal, great sauce, & yummy warm garlic bread w/ pasta-wonderful Antipasto -just like back on Federal Hill in Providence RI! I was thrilled to find this hidden treasure as I missed my good ol Italian food from the Hill. Service was great -Vickie-behind the counter was a tremendous help in packing my take out to bring back home to Brandon. And dont forget dessert! Excellent,authentic Tirmisu & Huge Chocolate cake! I LOVE this place! Awesome menu of all the favs-give it a try-you wont be disappointed!

Favorite. I have been to this restaurant like 10 times and I love it. Their pizza is really good, but their dinners are even better! I ordered their baked ziti (which is baked) and it was the best I've had! I'm bring my family here when they come down from Indiana and California! LOVE IT!

AWFUL !!!. Poor service, poor food, waste of time....

Waited for 20 minutes to be seated, waited 30 minutes for meal, salad greens served were not well- gritty

Baked pasta dish was cold in the center, pasta was not fresh - had been reheated - dried up on the corners, served with a boring red sauce.

Was asked to move to another table before meal was finished.

Server never returned to the new table to check on the meal. Tried to get someones attention to inform the staff that my meal was not cooked - no one

Walked to counter to pay as no check was brought to the table.

The place was chaotic, unprofessional & awful.

My recommendation - pick another place to dine.

Worst dining experience. Just had the worst dining experience in over a few years. Lucky me. Long wait at the door, probably due to the Christmas holidays. Food took forever and the shrimp scampi was no where near enjoyable. Small shrimp, served over linguini. Very basic. 3 loaves of bread served before the meal. One loaf plain the other 2 were garlic. Bread was good, just way too much. Salad came with the meal. Not before. Poor waitress, who kept apologizing. I would not recommend this restaurant, and would never go back.

Shockingly good!. Just to preface this comment, I'm not one to complain or compliment except in the most extreme circumstances.

During a recent business trip to St. Petersburgh, I asked one of my clients to suggest a place to get some Italian food. He directed me to Gennaro's. Although it was a little hard to find because of the size of the place and it's in a residential area, it was well worth the trip. It was the best Italian food I've eaten and the service was impeccable. The prices were very reasonable as well. If you're ever in the area, I would strongly recommend this restaurant.

Best Pizza on the beach. Gennaro's the only way to describe the place is all around excellent! I visited recently and a friend had bragged that the restaurant was just like home(NY). I and a few friends went and as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by two smiling staff members, we were escorted to our table and the atmosphere was very inviting. Now to the good part; the food, The sauce is absolutly AMAZING!! I personally had the chicken parmigana and i have never had it out were i enjoyed it more than my mothers, not only was my meal amazing everyone couldnt stop raving. overall the experience was great the food, the atmosphere and the service were superb. Make your way to Gennaro's on the beach, its well worth it!!

Best stromboli & calzone anywhere - and a value !!!!!!. We have been eating at Gennaro's for years and it is the most consistently EXCELLENT place we can name. My wife and I both work so we eat out 5 to 6 nights a week and often eat here twice a week. If ANYONE has eaten at this place and had bad service, they deserved it ! The waitstaff, manager and kitchen staff are very pleasant and accomodating. We've been through the entire menu but my favorite is the stromboli, my wife likes the parmesan dishes. Always get the salad! Garlic cheese bread is great too! Parking has always been our only problem but it's generally less than a block walk and always worth it, rain or shine! Call ahead for reservations or avoid peak times. (The beer could be colder). Aside to "nlghf", you should stick to Pizza Hut - or better yet, stay home!

Decent food, horrible service. For take out only. They have rude, border line vindictive service. OUr favorite incident with the wait staff occured about 1 months ago: we asked for pasta with rose sauce (which they have on Pizzza and used to serve with Pasta); the waitress said they did not have it; we mentioned that they had served it before and still put it on Pizza; she said she would assk the kitchen staff; she turned around to wait on another table, then returned to our table to tell us they did not have it thinking we did not know that she never went to the kitchen. We eat here aout once a month due to its proximity to our place and always see another customer complain about the service- we gave up complaing 3-4 visits ago.

Best Italian Restaurant near the Beach. If you are looking for a little ripper of an Italian Restaurant you cannot go past Gennaro's Pizza & Restaurant in St. Petersburg, FL. Situated on Pass A Grill Way about 1/4 a mile from the St Pete Beach, Whether it is for a quick pasta or special occasion this is a great place to eat. Gennaro's offers a wide variety of fine Italian cuisine which portrays both the authentic and classic flavors of Italy. The menu is extensive so there is something for everyone. My family and I have been a few times in the recent weeks and have been delighted trying a wide range of dishes from the Pasta, Risotto, Salad, as you would expect with an Italian Restaurant.

What also will entice anyone is the size of the servings which are very generous and come at a very reasonable price.

The food is scrumptious, but you cannot beat the fantastic service. The waitresses are friendly, enthusiastic and always smiling.

Truly, it's a feast not only for the eyes, but for the stomach.
