The Scene – Forget the spit and polish. Ringside Cafe leans toward a little grubby, just enough to please the big crowd of partyers lining the bar. No one will notice if you spill your drink here. There's usually a band wailing live blues in the back, with couples crammed together on a small dance floor. – – The Food – You almost feel obligated to order beer in a place like this. But if you're not up for suds, start with a martini. Nice and stiff, it's loaded with stuffed olives bisected by swizzle sticks. If you're hungry, order the tomato bisque soup; it's homemade…
One of my favorites places
by Katmar
I love Ringside Cafe for both lunch and an enjoyable evening out. The food and service are always great. If you stay for the music, you won't regret it. The place has a lot of atmoshpere. The patrons and staff are down to earth and friendly. There is nothing not to like here.
Great Sports Bar
by HOFHog
A locals hang-out, and we felt right at home. Very comfortable with surprisingly great grub. We didn't stay into the evening long enough to take in the Blues entertainment, but we will certainly make a point to the next time we're in St. Pete. The Ringside Cafe is a special place - hope it never changes.
- Pros: Casual and Comfortable, consistent entertainment
- Cons: maybe needs a paint touch up
Blues and Booze
by jazzbass1969
If you like good blues, food, and booze this is the place to be in St. Petersburg. They have all the best local and traveling blues acts in the city. They got the regular bar food but it is inexpensive and big portions. The service is quick and friendly. The drinks are stiff and prices reasonable. You can't go wrong.
- Pros: Great Music, Stiff Drinks, Great Prices
