The Scene
Inside, it looks like it once was a Denny's or other fast food joint, but the walls are painted a shimmering beige, accented on one side with a big, bright mural of a Mexican scene. The tables are simple formica, but the careful politeness of the staff and the dignified civility of the place gives it an elegance its surroundings might not otherwise convey.
The Food
Start off with the complimentary homemade chips and handmade salsa that'll knock you out. Time for the appetizer: a cup of vegetarian black bean soup--rich, flavorful, topped with a thin drizzle of sour cream, cilantro and onion. Then try a spicy dish of tender beef tips, cooked rare and sizzling with hot peppers, served with rice and black beans; or the breast of chicken with two mojo sauces streaked across its surface, one made from green chilis and one a chocolatey brown. For dessert, indulge in a piece of chocolate cake infused with chocolate mousse and raspberry coulis that's expertly made and divine to taste.

I am new to Tampa from a BIG city and I find the atmosphere and food of this restaurant to be spectacular! The mood is set by the music, dark wood furniture and lighting. The menu has something for everyone. The staff is polite and knowledgeable and have not given me a bad recommendation yet; and even with the limited seating I have never felt rushed. A definite must try if you are looking for a cool, laid-back mexi-fusion experience.

i think they cook there chicken very well. this place has good waiters. an just a good menu! it's a little expensive, but a great place for a date.
