What People Are Saying About Cafe Mozart Bakery Inc

The Scene – It's pretty in pink; painted pink outdoors, sunny pastel pink inside, with glass-cut chandeliers and oriental carpets providing a classy touch. People stop in all day for delights made right there at the St. Pete bakery, which has been open about 10 years. Early in the morning, when people are on their way to work, the drive-through window gets a workout. – – The Food – German-style pastries, cakes, bread and various types of coffees. – – What to Order – Of course you're going to want to order the German delicacy…

Recently we have found this Bakery in St. Petersburg. We where impressed with the bread and the Stolen (German Christmas Cake) that we bought. Also the Owner (Austrian) was very very nice and helpful. I can only recommend this to anybody that is interested in german bread and bakery.
- Pros: Bauernbrot best in this Area
- Cons: sorry to say they are closed on Sundays
An Authentic European Bakery !!!

Since moving to Florida from Boston, MA 2 years ago, I have often wondered why one could not buy decent bread here as we do routinely in Boston. And since my first trip to Germany I have been in desperate search for pastries like those I fell in love with in Europe.
Then a friend told me about Cafe Mozart, German Bakery.
The Bread is wonderfully fresh, healthy and delicious. The pastries...Wow...from Chocolate Croissants, to Fruit Napoleons and Mousse Tortes I have sampled just about everything and all of it has been great. Go there and order a Latte and a Bienenstich, close your eyes and you will believe you are in Europe. But do not go too late in the day. They make everything fresh daily and when they run out they run out - psst...but you can call and ask them to put bread or strudel aside for you if you know you will be late. They are happy to take pre-orders - which is fortunate when you want to sleep in on a Saturday.
I found the atmosphere to be very friendly. The crowd is a healthy mix of Europeans and Americans alike, and they all seem happy to stand in line to buy their coveted German Black Bread or Farmer's Rye, Apple Strudel or Torte for a special occasion. Three cheers for authenticity, freshness and service.
- Pros: They even have a drive through for when you are on the go!
- Cons: Sadly they are not open on Sundays...
Customer NO service!

The hours on the door state open until 3:30 pm, but when we got there at 3:15, all of the chairs were already stacked on the tables, all but four trays of desserts were put away. We weren't really interested in buying because it was closing time, we were just curious. When I politely asked what else they have, the girl behind the counter said, "Well, we close at 3:30." Like I was inconveniencing her! They should close at 3pm if they want to leave before their customers do! We may go back, but this being my first impression - We won't if we find a better place first.
- Pros: Rude staff, Closing early
- Cons: Large portions, Ample Parking

The chocolate mousse torte is an amazing blend of airy mousse and chocolate, good chocolate not that subtle hint of chocolate liquer in the backgroud flavor. We have never been disappointed with any of our trips here and we have sampled almost everything on the menu. Stick with standard coffee orders and unfortunately, they are not open on Sundays.
