Not BAD BUSINESS, but GENIUS.
by Paigerage13
Don't be fooled by all these people claiming it's a scam. It all boils down to whether or not you have about $450, and are willing to spend that to have a nice time in the Bahamas. Just read the fine print and enjoy your trip!
I want to help clarify, for anyone looking into this company after receiving the infamous phone call, that NOBODY ever says ANYTHING about WINNING anything!
The call is a not a "you won" phone call at all. They DO say "congratulations", but when's the last time you saw that one in the thesaurus under "win"? I know for a fact that they never say the words "win" or any form of it, or "free", and wouldn't say it even if you poked them with a sharp stick... because that would be lying, and bad business. They just won't do it. Call and try to make them say "you won". Just try.
The idea of going to the Bahamas is exciting, so when you get that phone call with some chipper young girl or guy on the other end saying that you have an opportunity to go, your brain jumps the gun and puts the fact that you filled out a card and the word "congratulations" together, and BOOM! - you act shocked when they tell you that there are taxes, port fees and service charges. Had you read the card you filled out, you'd already know about those, and the whole experience would be that much more pleasant, wouldn't it?
So just pretend you did pay attention to that and you'll sound a lot smarter to the cute girl who books your trip.
I used to work for them, and I know exactly how it works, and I know it's easy to feel like you've been scammed when you don't listen to or read the details or just plain don't understand what someone is saying to you. Thousands upon thousands of people willingly fill out these cards, just as you did, so OF COURSE there's a pre-written/recorded message! You can read the message for yourself by clicking the "fact" tab on their website if it went in one ear and out the other when you heard it. But Danny O'Brian certainly can't talk to everyone who fills out a card, so he decided to be fair and talk to NO ONE. I know him personally, and he's not such a bad guy. You may have gathered that he's actually pretty smart, charismatic, and a hard worker. He built this company with his wife from the ground up, and does quite well with it.
Try to find a comparable cruise and hotel stay in the Bahamas for this cheap, and I'll call you a "winner" if you succeed.
You owe it to yourself to go on a little get-away. Just don't be too grumpy about it, people.
- Pros: Thousands of people get a cheap trip to the bahamas yearly
- Cons: The majority of people in the world just aren't too bright

Buyer Pleas Beware, Security Travel USA is a rip-off. They take your money and when their ship fails to sail because of mechanical breakdown, they don't want to give your money back. Danny Obrien is getting rich off of scamming innocent customers, but Danny it will all coming crashing down. We booked a cruise through Security Travel USA (supposely you won this), the ship broke down so they wanted us to reschedule. We didn't and cancelled the whole trip, now I am consulting with a lawyer to get my money back. SECURITY TRAVEL USA-BAD BUSINESS
- Cons: hard getting your money back
I'm booked n just read these posts...Help??
