Best Sushi in Tampa
by Dirtlawyer
Sushi Tsu serves up the best sushi I have eaten since I lived in Japan. The chefs are knowledgable and personable, and Jay (the owner) if friendly and eager to please. You can't go wrong with the sushi, or with the other foods that are available, such as tepanyaki or teriyaki.
- Pros: Great food, good service
- Cons: none
Good sushi, staff needs training
by willicar
The sushi was great but the service was not that great. We were not offered menu's and then asked to order, the waiters did not know what Hamachi was, couldnt describe what was in the sushi rolls, and did not explain how to order on the paper they gave you. We then told the back side of the paper we ordered on had the description of rolls. Our first roll was served and we had no wasabi and the waiter said you dont eat wasibi with that roll. Well, thats a first people telling me in a sushi establishment what I can and cant eat wasabi with--and it went great with wasabi.
We should have been told that when we were given the menu. Ordered a brownie for desert and received a piece of cake. Never offered to refill our drinks or offer another beer.
The staff was friendly and the sushi was great. However, they need to train their employees a little more. Not knowing your product in an establishment you work in is a big downfall in a business.
I will still recommend this Sushi Tsu's but they need to train their staff in a big way so I gave it an overall rating of "average". Again, great sushi but lack of service in a big way makes it average experience.
- Pros: Great sushi, friendly staff,
- Cons: Staff lacking knowledge in a big way
Great Sushi, good prices

We've been eating at Sushi Tsu for several years. The Sushi never disappoints. We most often get rolls, miso soup and house salad. We've done the hibachi a few times for special occasions and that was very fun..once for my daughter's 8th birthday with family. They did a lovely job and we really enjoyed ourselves.
- Pros: Parking, Service, Cleanliness, Freshness of food
- Cons: Wider variety of fun rolls
Great Sushi, good prices!

We are regulars here and we love this place for their fresh sushi and reasonable prices. There are many Japanese restaurants to choose from on Bruce B. Downs but this one is the all around best. The atmosphere is comfortable with your choice of cooking tables(teppanyaki/hibachi), dining tables, and sushi bar. We're not fans of the cooking tables but the one time we did it here our chef was very personable and a lot of fun, cooking everything to perfection. The sushi chefs here are exceptional in their craft but leave a bit to be desired with their lack of personality. Don't expect much in the way of interaction from them. The hostesses and the wait staff are courteous, friendly, quick and accommodating. We've never had a bad service here. All in all it's a great place for a good night out no matter what the occasion and it won't break the bank like some of the other Japanese places near by.
- Pros: Fresh Fish, good prices
- Cons: Sushi chefs don't talk
Great Hibachi
by zct1619
The food is perfect, though a bit pricy. Not all of the chefs put on a great perfomance. Show us some excitment when you make an onion volcano!
- Pros: Sushi & Hibachi
- Cons: Price, Boring chefs
