Girls Just Wanna Have Fun – In addition to beautiful pant suits that are perfect for work, Apropos has an amazing selection of feather boas, hats and crystal jewelry. Furry mules and animal print sandals are fun for the feet. Apropos may have Tampa Bay's largest selection of lace clothing as well: Dresses, shirts, pants, scarves--there's lace all over the place here. – – One of a Kind – The store is organized by clothing style and color. Flip through the rack of white sleeveless shirts and you'll see that there are barely any duplicates. Although they may vary…
attitude adjustment needed!

If you can stand to be treated with no manners, as you hand over a great deal of money for a dress then come on down to Apropos.I was treated like I did "not belong" every time I went into this establishment for alterations on my purchase. They even sent me a note of apology with a discount for a future purchase after I stormed out.Obviously they knew they were out of line! In these difficult economic times, I would advise going to a store where they treat you like they want your business. The help here need a lesson on how to approach customers and treat them with courtesy!
- Cons: clerks do not know how to treat customers
I loved it

I really liked the selections. After days of trying on upscale dept. store dresses, I found they all carried the same designers, dresses and only several sizes. Sax wanted me to buy the dress and pay for shipping before I could try it in my size... maybe I'm old school but whatever happend to customer satisfaction! Snooty over there too! Apropos may have that shipping policy, I don't know, but I didn't need to find out because they had plenty to choose from. Barb is very helpful and seems to give honest suggestions and opinions. You are greeted with a beverage and a nice dressing room, complete with shoes, full mirrors and a dressing table. The also have great accessories.
- Pros: great atmosphere, lots of choices
- Cons: sometimes saw dresses I liked on other sizes but didn't always have in mine. Common dress shopping problem.
Mother of the bride dress

Mary, at Apropos, is THE BEST. I was looking for a dress for my daughter's wedding. I had tried on about 10 and was down to the last one--one Mary had suggested that I never would have selected. I put it on, walked out to my daughter, and she said, "That's it!" Everyone at the wedding said the dress was gorgeous and I was beautiful. But, on a cruise 6 weeks later, the lead singer/dancer on the ship came up to me and told me what a beautiful dress I had--that she had noticed it the minute I walked on. What a compliment. I recommend this store to everyone--it's pricey, but it's worth it.
- Pros: Service, selection
- Cons: pricey
The Details on A'Propos
The Dressing Room:
There's only one dressing room at Apropos, but it's got a table and couch and beaded lamp in it, and there's still enough to room to walk around. A terrycloth robe hangs on a hook for you to slip on if you want to run out into the store and grab something
Very Victorian:
The interior design of the store resembles a Victorian fantasy boudoir. Vintage clocks, tables and chairs and beaded lamps imbue the place with romance.
