Im addicted to the Garlic Bread. I ordered pasta and meat sauce and it was every bit as good as some of the bigger more expensive places in town. Hubby had a pizza and I stole a piece and wished I had ordered that too. The garlic bread is so good you want to make a meal of it. Service was fast, friendly and food arrived at table hot. Great prices.

Best Pizza....New Owners, New Look and now Delivering. I was there in January recently and decided to try out Mamas since it had been at least 7 years since I visited. Their pizza is delicious because they have a new sauce and of course you can't forget their infamous garlic bread! They also have draft beer specials and are currently updating the menu to include new appetizers such as buffalo wings, mozzerella sticks and desserts including cheesecake. I recommend that everyone come and try them out....just ask for Craig :)

Best Garlic Bread. Mama's Pizza has the best garlic bread at the best price... Free that is. The staff there is also very friendly. Pizza is pretty good. A great place for younger familys on a budget. I reccomend it. See you there soon.

It looks and feels like a sports bar, but once inside, you'll find an authentic, family-owned Italian restaurant.. The Scene
Sports types will like it because it feels like a sports bar, with beer signs lit in the windows and games in the lobby. It's a short, 10-minute hop north of Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. But you'll see that once you are seated inside, its second nature is apparent: A family-owned Italian restaurant with very respectable, hand-made pasta and excellent pizza. The scent of oregano lures you toward the tables, which are covered with checked red-and-white cloths, and though its temperament is casual, there is somebody serious in the kitchen. Mama's even offers a short wine list and a good salad bar for those of us who enjoy something other than pizza.

The Food
Typical Italian fare and pizza.

What to Order
Try Mama's lasagna, or the Florentine shells--pasta shells stuffed with ricotta and spinach. The pizza is very good, as are the bread twists that arrive with your meal as an appetizer. We ordered a nice chianti red from the wine list, then adjourned to the salad bar, which even boasted a homemade, low-cal raspberry vinaigrette dressing that was very tasty. The only disappointment was dessert, which featured a less-than-inspiring cheesecake.

Useless Trivia
Mama's has been in business since 1981 at the same location-a nondescript strip shopping center in Carrollwood. The very kind and polite server has also been there many years, she said, and it showed. The service was excellent.

Not MY Mama. From the outside, Mama's doesn't look like much, and quite frankly I should have taken the hint.

While service was fast and friendly, the pizza left much to be desired....underbaked and sloppily assembled, I wondered if the chef had ever really had a decent pizza, other than the type that comes from a pizza delivery chain. It could have been from one of them, for all I know.

The albino boa constrictor in the window next to the pizza shop looked as if he enjoyed his meal more. His cage looked cleaner than my table.
