Tips for Melting Pot

It's hip to dip at this cozy fondue-lover's paradise.. In Short
Booths equipped with tabletop fondue pots are clustered together inside the intimate dining room. Start with a cheese fondue, including an assortment of breads, veggies and fruits for dipping. Entrees include lobster, center-cut filet, fish, chicken and vegetarian selections served with a variety of dipping sauces. For dessert, try the flaming turtle, a mix of chocolate and caramel flambéed tableside, served with nut-covered marshmallows, fresh fruit, pound cake, brownies and cheesecake.

Fabulous fondu. You will love this place if you like new sytles of cooking traditional items, steak, chicken, shrimp. You start with a cheese fondu and sides of differents breads, fruit, and vegies. Then you follow with one of their amazing salads. I perfer the house with the sweet tangy dressing. Then We always go with the signature selection. Steak, chicken, shrimp, fish, and filet. We cook using the traditional oil. Then we always follow with the flaming turtle chocolate fondu. Its excellant. Dont go here if your going to complain about cooking your own food....duhhhh people its fondu, its the whole point. Worth the price as well. no complaints!

Nothing better. I came here for my birthday with my family and had a wonderful time. I love how the tables are completely private, (well are big party table was). And you are served your meal with 3 courses, appetizer with bread & cheese, meats & cheese, and dessert. This is great because you have more time to digest your food in between so you can stuff yourself more!!! Its that good, you literally don't want to stop eating, haha. So the servers bring out all your dishes and mix and cook the cheeses right there in front of you on the table, so if you want quick service don't bother coming here. This place is more of a higher class setting, where patience is a virtue and it will definitely be rewarded!

Romantic setting and great service. We went to this restaurant in Jan 2007. The setting was very romantic and the fondue was great. We had the "Big Night Out" and enjoyed all four courses. The service was spectacular. They were very accommodating with alternatives. I needed to have more vegetables and fruits to dip because I am on a low carb diet. Make sure you save room for the chocolate fondue!!!

very romantic, private booths, great place to dine. This was the best restaurant that my wife and I have ever eaten at. The food was great. Service was excellent! We weren't rushed out to seat someone else like the other restaurants in town.

Worst night out in a long time. Wait staff did not have oil set at right temperature, we waited for about 20 minutes for our food to begin cooking. Vegetables served with dinner were browning and not professionally cut - I actually had a whole potato on my plate. We were left to pour our own wine and service stopped once bill was paid - No coffee refills or water refills. Quite a disappointment and one is left to wonder how Tampa can be so pleased with such a mediocre restaurant.

Could be better. Go for the fondue and the dessert. The rest of the meal is ok but over priced. Very private and romantic.

My 2 cents. The dessert was good and so was the cheese fondue. We ordered the meal with an array of different meats , practically a little of everything. I will sum this up pretty quick. The food tasted boiled after you cooked it , boiled chicken, shrimp , lobster - there was no real flavor other then the sauces they give you to dip into which I was not impressed by at all. I mean come on, BBQ and teriyaki sauce for chicken? they could have been more creative. You better be a good cook because its easy to over cook your food. I would go back for dessert only , for the price its MUCH more convenient to be waited on. Overall it was different and I would say go if you've never experienced fondue before. I still don't see why everyone makes reservations 2 months in advance to eat there.

Good food, but .... Be prepared - it takes an entire evening to dine and you DO cook the meal yourself - that IS the fondue concept. Some consider that a "con" but I love it.

The food is very tasty. The down side? Service can vary. Sometimes, it is EXCELLENT. Other times, it is delivered by young servers who don't come across at the level of service you would want for the atmosphere. Would I go with kids? Well, that depends on the kids. I've been seated near children several times and it wasn't a problem. Large groups? Well, the style of dining forces a feeling of 'division' into smaller groups, even at the large tables because it's 4 to a cooking pot. If you don't mind that, it's fun to do.

Service is never bad, romance level is VERY high - if you have the money to spend, you should definitely go!

Time not an issue?. Prepare to spend two-three hours. The food is excellent but you cook a majority of it yourself.
