Extremely Honest, Knowledgeable and Caring of the Customers. Last year I purchased a diamond in St. Maartens and had it placed in the original engagement ring I've had for 8 years. Our time was short there and the diamond was put in quickly. Consequently, it wasn't straight. I wanted to get it fixed because i was afraid that the diamond could fall out if i struck it on something. I began looking for a reputable jeweler that did diamond ring repair. I found Cortes Jewelers on the Internet and my husband took the ring in. We requested to have the diamond straightened and to have all the diamonds in that ring and the matching wedding ring checked to make sure they weren't loose.

About 2 hours after my husband had left the store, Mr. Cortes called and recommended that the diamond needed to go into a different prong setting since the original setting of the ring was too small for the size of the diamond and it was in danger of falling out. It was more expensive, but the end result was outstanding. The ring is breathtaking and I'm now comfortable that the diamond is securely held and I can actually wear the ring instead of leaving it in the jewelry box all the time.

The work was performed in a timely manner and when I went to pick it up, i decided to have both that ring and the matching wedding ring with it sized up 1/2 size so it fit me more comfortably. That work was completed within 2 hours.

I strongly recommend using Cortes Jewelers. My husband and I were very concerned who we used since we were afraid the diamond "might" be switched if we dealt with a jeweler that wasn't reputable. We were both very comfortable with the location, the staff and the family background of the place. We'll be using them again.

I recommend that you do too.

Most Honest in Tampa. Cortes should be the jeweler of choice for custom work, honesty, quality workmanship and for creating one of a kind exquisite piece of jewelry for you, using your ideas and budget. GO TO CORTES!!

Great Job Love The Ring. I visited the jeweler, Helman, at this shop with an idea of a custom ring, I had in mind, for my wifes 5th wedding anniversary gift. I also had a ring of my mothers, that had a diamond in it, that I wanted to use. I was very cautious and asked if the diamond could be set after the ring was made; upon pick-up. He said no problem, and discussed my idea with me very patiently. He then drew up the idea and we both felt an understanding of what it was I wanted. He said give it 2 weeks, left a deposit and took the loose diamond with me. The ring was accomplished on time and was exactly what I imagined. It was extraordinary. He then set the stone into the ring. My wife loved it but I gave him the wrong size. We brought it back to him and he sized it while we waited. I now have a jeweler I can trust. They did an excellent job.

I may be seeking legal assistance in these false and unfounded allegations regarding my work and one year warranty on her watch since my 20-years in the jewelry business is at stake. You should not post anything that is going to be a potential legal problem.
