Above average for coffee, Below average for price. As other reviewers note, the atmosphere at Sacred Grounds is very fascinating. Anti-establishment, hippie, and groovy. But my family and I did not understand the prices at Sacred Grounds. 3 drinks (1 mocha and 2 lattes) cost $18.50. At that price, it should have been 3 Irish coffees :-) I've never paid that much for a coffee, and was pretty amazed. Other than that, I suppose the coffee quality was very good. I thought the ice cubes they use for iced drinks are very clever (coffee ice cubes). But is it worth $6 per drink? No, not really.

Great place to hang out. A friend of mine brought me to Sacred Grounds to hang out a couple years ago and I have been a fan ever since. The coffee drinks are excellent but they also serve other wonderful drinks and snacks for non-coffee people. I like to go with a small group of friends and chat. Sometimes we can get one of the two rooms or a table so we can play a game, they have several you can use. Its really a great place to relax, particularly since no one has be named DD.

This modest coffeehouse provides a hip, funky place to slurp exotic coffee concoctions.. The Scene
Loaded bookcases and chess tables that double for noshing hint at the academically focused clientele it attracts. The coffeehouse offers various programs like poetry jams, drag shows and book discussions, along with a bevy of coffees and snacks.

The Food
A good assortment of food items and creative coffee concoctions. Try one of the unusual and delicious coffee-based drinks, which are desserts in a glass: "Almond Joy," with coconut milk, chocolate syrup and amaretto; "apple pie," with apple cinnamon and whipped cream latte; and dozens of selections of teas. Good cookies and pastries, sodas, crackers and juices round out the menu at this quirky and enjoyable hangout.
