Totally Uncontaminated By Cheese. My husband and I are relatively new to the area. When we saw a store named "The Olde World Cheese Shop" we imediately started talking about the cheeses that we love but haven't been able to find in Tampa. We went in and asked about, what else, cheese. It was disturbing to be met with a wall of indifference by the staff. Nobody on staff tried to explain what The Olde World Cheese Shop is about, nor did they attempt to make us feel welcome.

We felt like we were in the middle of a "Monty Python" skit. The staff is awful. I wouldn't go back even if they sold cheese.

Robert. Its nice to know The Olde World Cheese Shop is still in operation. I remember having lunch there when I worked at University State Bank starting in 1979. It seems to be almost the same as then. So many great eateries have come and gone..the tradition carrys on...

Poor Customer Service. This past time I went here, the customer service was terrible. I stood at the counter for 3 or 4 minutes, and was greeted once. What seemed to be the one in charge answered the phone 3 times, called up 2 different orders, and glanced in my direction without asking me if I needed anything. She was more concerned with other things. Finally, I inquired about my food, and she said she thought I was with another group, however I was the only one standing up front! She could have asked if I needed anything. I have this problem here.

mammoth fare. I think we've ordered every sandwich on the menu and then a few special orders. I have never been able to eat one by myself, usually have to share with a friend. Dining in they will split your order. My only complaint is with the hot sandwiches to go, they wrap in plastic wrap and the bread gets soggy.
