Great little family owned restaurant

I go to Savvy Jack's all the time because it's within short walking distance from my home. From what I can gather it's a small husband-wife run establishment with maybe one or two other employees (likely related; all French) at most.
Everybody is super cordial and polite, the homey environment is warm and a great mellow place for either a date or a hangover (or both), the food is great at a low price, and on a casual morning you'll have plenty of chance to converse with the staff, something I value about any restaurant I go to.
I've never gotten sick eating there, but I do recommend staying away from some of their odder (maybe Frenchier) specials they have posted at the entrance. If an omelette with cream cheese sounds weird to you, that's because it is, and it tastes exactly like you'd imagine.
- Pros: Awesome food, environment, and staff
- Cons: Stay away from curious sounding specialties
Great service, wonderful food

Everything is prepared fresh and the burgers with homefries are the best in Tampa. Highly recommend it!
- Pros: Freshly prepared, locally owned and friendly
Food poisioning from the food.

I went their for breakfast. Something they served was bad and I got food poisioning from it. When I called them to let them know something was spoiled, they were very rude to me and called me a liar.
Of course, I won't go back.
- Pros: They serve coffee.
- Cons: You may get sick from the food and they won't care.
