ROBBED! Scheming! Don't EVER GO!

Here's the short version. Bridesmaid dress needed fitting. Tried it on, the lady pinned it. I said, how much? She said $20 for the top and $40 for the skirt. This is a straight hem, on a single piece of flat fabric. No ruffles, pleating or lining. So I'm said, Ok, just do the top. Knowing full well, I'd take it home and run a straight stitch around it myself. But then I ran out of time and didn't do the stitch, just ran out and bought ridiculously HIGH heels to keep the skirt off the floor. Went back to pick the items up,and she did the skirt ANYWAY after I said no. Then she tells me I'll have to pay for the skirt, since they already did the work. I say, no way. I said no. She said, too bad, she accidentally did it, she wants the $40 for the skirt. I said, I bought special shoes, I don't want it that high anymore! So guess what she did, she took the skirt back and RIPPED OUT HER HEM, LEAVING THE SALVAGE EDGE WITH ALL THE STRINGS HANGING THERE, and hands it back to me!!! I was furious. The skirt CAME HEMMED, I expect it returned the way it came! And we got in a shouting match and she told me to shut up. I am a thirty year old professional, KIND person. This kind of thing shouldn't happen, ever, to anyone. I had to take it home and stay up half the night before the wedding trying to fix it.
