Awesome place to go with that someone special. From the valet to the waiters, everyone is exceptional. The owners are the most personable people I have ever seen. They all make sure your experience is special. We will go back again and again.
Disappointing. We were looking forward to having dinner at Ivarone's tonight after having heard so many friends talk about it over the years. After having been to Malio's (the old one) I expected the same quality and customer service. I was disappointed in the quality of the meal (we had to send it back twice and it still wasn't right). The worst part though was that the management didn't seem to care at all about our experience. Not like the old Malio's to be sure. Suffice it to say, we won't be going back any time soon - not for dinner anyway.
Great Steaks,Pasta, Seafood.
The steaks, Veal and Prime Rib are tasty and tender.
The Crab Pasta is out of this world, my favorite.
Seafood Salad is the best in town.
Upstairs is a great place for business meetings or
any event. Quick and friendly service.
Great Evening Out.
So tired of the chains and the overpriced steak houses. Iavarone's was a gem - obviously frequented by loyal, well established clientele. The lounge was packed with happy hour folks from the 30 somethings to the seniors - lots of energy coming from there. We were seated immediately and our server was prompt. One of the best dirty martini's showed up as ordered.
Dinner was a birthday celebration and we were not disappointed. He had prime rib and I had a mildly spiced linguini with blue crab. Portions were substantial, we both had leftovers to take home and recreate a fabulous dinner. For dessert - the fresly made raspberry sorbet was perfect.
Can't wait to go back. With prices so reasonable, a monthly treat is in order. Say goodbye to the chains and visit a family owned and loved establishment. Thank you staff of Iavarones for a relaxing and yummy night.
Can't go wrong. I love this place! The pastas are always right on, and the fish specials are always fresh. A little pricey, but worth it if you're treating yourself or a special someone. The atmosphere is great. Private and dark, perfect for a first date if you're trying to impress.
Best steaks we had in years. We have eaten at some of the most highly rated and far more expensive steak houses all over the country, but the steaks we had there on our last visit were spectacular. We come to the Tampa area three or four times a year and always make a visit there a priority, but this time the steaks were so good we went back another night for more.
Horrible Experience.
My husband and I eat out quite frequently. The food here is generally good but inconsistent. The manager here is very rude and confrontational. We RARELY send anything back unless inedible. When we received an item that we felt was inedible and asked for it to be replaced we were made to feel like we were criminals.
We have spent a lot of money there over the past 15 years. I would not suggest eating there. There are so many other wonderful options in Carrollwood....
Great Food & Prices.
Lived across the street for 6 months and had the pleasure of eating here several times. Every dish I tried was great. I don't drink, but never left the place spending over $30 with tax & tip and $20 was more the norm. The steaks were very good and I loved the meatballs. You can buy them on the side and they were huge.
Only downfall is the wait. Go early or be prepared to wait(well worth it though)
Great food, great prices. Caesar salad was fantastic. Not watery like most. The chicken alfredo was great. It was not overloaded with sauce and they do not skimp on the chicken. All this and more, and this was just lunch. I will definitely return whenever possible. It was a little crowded but that should be expected for Friday lunch. The bar waitress was great. Never an empty glass of water.
Excellent Restaurant!. Used the CitySearch guide for looking up restaurant's in Tampa that were Italian. This restaurant was given three good reviews and the prices were comparable with the mainstream chains and that is where it ends. The food was EXCELLENT!, my date had the Veal Saute with Fettucine Alfredo and I had the Chicken Millano with garlic mashed red potatoes. The spices were perfect (not bland, and not over spiced), the Veal was very tender and the chicken was moist, tender and not over cooked at the edges. The waitress came at the right times to check up on our meal, was very attentive and extremely polite!! For the bottle of wine, the appetizer and both meals i paid just over $70.00 which included the 20%+ tip!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT VALUE!!! I would HIGHLY SUGGEST this restaurant for a wonderful meal with anyone!
