This is a REAL gym, not a "health club". Come here to lift heavy weights, perform some HIIT, use a power rack, grunt, sweat, and get in shape.

Don't come here to socialize ,use 5 lb. dumbbells, or show off your new outfit. Come here to get muscles or show them off.

You can literally come anytime you want and any way you want.

It's inexpensive to join,and the supplements are well-priced. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

• Pros: 24 hours, power rack, lots of free weights, real people
• Cons: none, but not for wimps

Tampa Powerhouse keep in shape while on vacation

okay, so I was on vacation, and wanted to keep up with my fitness routine, and went to this gym, since I have a membership at another Powerhouse gym, So, I find out that I have to one Pay an additional fee to use the gym, since I am not a local at this gym, they are all indivually owned, so the manager there is not very nice, does not say well try it for one day if you like it there is an additional fee, no he says its 10 for the day, or 16 for the week, so since I am in town for the week I pay the additional fee. I get on the stairclimber and ask for the fan to be put on, and am told oh it does not work, it just up there for show, okay, I say to myself, whatever, than since I did workout on the stair climber, I sweat my toxins off, so I want to clean off my sweat, guess what no cleaning bottles to clean the machine, so I ask the maintenance guy why they don't have any out, so the next day the I go there the cleaning bottles are there,and no papertowels to clean the machines, the machines are overcrowed in the gym so you are literally walking around the machines, and I was needless to say not very impressed by the looks and cleanliness of this gym, yes, it was not a bally's just a place to workout and get your sweat on, but it could have been alot more sanitary and the people could have been alot more friendlier.
