Trangs is my FAVORITE restaurant, hands down!. I've been going to this place since i first heard about it around 8 years ago. it is AMAZING! The staff there is wonderful, really friendly and attentive. The menu is huge, with several full pages of vegetarian/vegan items (no more having to find the one lonely item on a menu you can eat!). I live out of state, but one thing on my to-do list every time i come back to visit is to go to Trangs for their lunch specials. Great great food, its a must-do!

Awesome vegetarian dishes. I am not really a vegetarian but have many friends who are. When we go to Trang Viet, I order vegetarian because their dishes are that good! (If all vegetarian food was that good, I could be one!) The simplicity of the decor doesn't bother me at all; it grows on you. Prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.

Very good Vietnamese. We have been dining here for almost 9 years. The food is tasty, fresh and very authentic. The menu is big and offers vegan dishes as well. The owner, Trang will often come out to the dining room and converse with customers. This is a first choice for vegetarians locally expecially since the menu is so diverse. I highly recommend the Curry Vegan Stew, even if you aren't Vegan. This dish is hearty and full of flavor, great on a cold day! Prices are very good and staff is consistent and friendly. A+++

Yummy!. This delightful French-Vietnamese restaurant is a treat for both the meat-eater and the vegetarian. They have an enormous menu full of such wonderful dishes such as vegan curry stew, winter rolls, imitation chicken curry and so many other wonderful things. The service is usually prompt with Victor and Trang being by favorite servers. The owner, Trang, is a kind and generous person who is very involved in his community. Trang's has been my favorite place for many years and I always look forward to dining there.

SO SO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!. Trang is among my absolute FAVORITE restaurants! I go there so much that I don't even have to order anymore... the servers are so personable that they get to know their regulars and remember what they like to eat. The vegan curry stew is AMAZING and I although I am vegetarian now, I was not when I first discovered it. The vegetarian spring rolls and vegan strawberry cheesecake is also among my favorite menu items. I've taken many of my friends to Trang and never had any complaints... I can't even fathom that some of these people don't enjoy their food or say it is stale. If the vegetables and such are not imported from Vietnam, Trang grows them himself. Also, my nephew is just 18 months old and even HE loves the food. The menu is wonderful and so are the prices.

One of the best in South:). The Lunch Specials is very reasonable - I had Imitation Curry Chicken, Vegetarian Autumn Roll & Vegetarian Sour Soup - very flavorefull and lots of veges & herbs in it. Value is decent for $6. Regular menu is great, too. Other than regular selections, great variety of Vegetarian/Vegan selections. Definitely one of the best Vegetarian I had eversince I moved down from NYC. I really liked it. I went back there again on the following day and I like it more! To the person mentioned that the food was STALE, that could be a source used in Vietnamese cuisine called "fish source", I forgot the actual name but it has very distinctive fishy flavor. The salad I had on my second visit had the source in it. If you are not too sure of ingredients/seasonings, just ask. The servers are helpful and may change it for you.

My favorite restaurant. AMAZING! Trangs has the lasgest number of vegetarian options I have EVER seen at a restaurant, and even non-vegetarians love it. There are so many wonderful dishes, I can never decide. The vegan curry stew, summer rolls, tofu salad, imitation chicken curry, and their coffee are among my favorites. The service is always wonderful, and they know their regulars and treat them well. They are generous to their guests and to the community. Go on your birthday, and you get a free meal! They are truely a wonderful restaurant! I highly recommend them.

kept wanting to like but.... I went here 3 or 4 times for lunch and dinner. I was excited by the menu, particularly the variety of seafood and vegetarian choices, and I have a fondness for Asian foods. I feel simply that the food is terrible. Every dish tends to be oversalted and overvinegary. I can still recollect the icky tangy flavors of Trang.

The atmosphere isn't that bad. I prefer sterile to dirty. The staff are very friendly. The place seems pretty popular. I wish I could say I find something good to say about the food, but I'd definitely go to nearby Saigon Bay or Lai Thai instead.

I want my money back..... Granted this review is based on only visit but since I won't be going back.....

I couldn't believe how lackluster and bland all the food was. I went with my husband so I tasted 2 entrees as well as 2 appetizers. Bland Pho, Stale Spring Rolls, and none of the bright,crispy flavors that Vietnamese food should have. Always a bad sign when you enter a Vietnamese restaurants and the non vietnamese clients outnumber the vietnamese. Even if I was desperate for Vietnamese food, I'd go without instead of wasting money on bad Vietnamese food.
