Editorial Review for The Red Zone – by Eric Vician and Curtis Hayes
The Scene
Formerly Kasey's Cove, it used to be known for the famous buffalo wings and local music. A sports bar at heart, it's also one of the few clubs with live music and DJs in North Tampa.
The Groove
DJ DUI and DJ Poon have replaced the blues and rock music that used to belt from wall-to-wall until the wee hours of the night. With Bud on tap and a few bottled imports to choose from, it's still a good place for pitchers of cheap beer ($3 on college-night Tuesdays) and trays of hot wings or grand hamburgers. Painted as red as its name, it features a jukebox, dart boards and plenty of seats at the bar. During football season, this is a Buc-backing joint.

AND BOY DOES it show and he really knows what people want. I went there with my son and daughter in law and found it was a really great sports bar. Tons of tv's with Direct TV Ticket, and latest vending. My favorite game was Golf T-2003. Pool Tables Airhockey and darts are just to name a few more that this sports bar/rest. has. I spoke with the Owner and he mentioned to me that coming December people are starting to sign up for the amatur pool association league. We were there on a Friday night and they had a really good live band. Clean, good fun, good fun and just a great atmotsphere. The owner is really doing well by his customers becuase he knows that theyare the ones helping the red zone stay the best.
Pros: crowded, excellent staff, big for a party

I went to the Red Zone on an impulse. I had a ball. The people in the bar were so nice. There are signs of New Ownership all around the place. It is taken some time, but it seems they are off to a really good start. They are having more contests and more things for the patrons to do as well as getting direct tv with all sports so i am sure my husband will love going there more often. Food is really good and reasonably priced. Well worth going back time and time again. As I was reading in the last review posted, when I went on Wed and Sat for college nights it was packed, and the dj rocked.
Pros: great parking, big place for fun, inexpensibe
Cons: none
