Excellent food, good service and a lovely evening.. Taj has the best Indian food we have had in Tampa in quite a while. I had the lamb korma and it was wonderful. My son had the tandorii chicken. It was very tasty and also very kid-friendly. My husband had the fish Madras. He ordered it very very spicy and was quite pleased that it lived up to his expectation. The fish was cooked perfectly. Also the little relish tray had fantastic chutney and tamarind. We had both a waiter and a young lady who took our drink orders and kept our glasses full. All-in-all I was pleased with the service. My only complaint would be that the restroom needs a good scrubbing.

We Love Taj!. We love, love, love the food. The service is hit or miss so ask for a carafe of water because you might not see your server for a while and if you ask for spicy food, you'll need plenty of refills. The lunch buffet is great. Taj is a very special treat.

Taj Indian Cuisine Resturant. We went there for the first time me and my husband and according to the antiques we thought "waw" this is really India but when the waiter came we really changed the whole admiration about that place. The food was very excellent and thanx to the chef, it's a very clean resturant except the restroom (very dirty), the garlic bread is a must but again and again the waiter was very unattentive and not observing to the customers (I don't know how he got hired with his unqualified customer service).

We waited for 15 untill he came and we asked him for appitizer and drinks ,he never botherd to ask (I thought he left or took a long nap) the other waiter (who looked Asian or Cuban) was more attentive and brought almost everything and I really wanted to tip him not that Indian waiter ( I was really upset) because me and my husband wanted to have a lovely evening but he ruined it with his unfocusing service so we left early (I mean we wrapped the food to go) ..

I don't think we'll be back there because if the service not good the food won't taste well . Anyway I think that was the worst experince ever and I can't believe we drove all the way to that place and the worst part is that waiter gets paid, I think the owner should get a video camera and watch the service so he/ she won't blame the reviews uplinked on the page. Thank you to the chef again for the Art of his cooking

worst service and bad food. the service was very bad and the waiter was rude. the food that was served was not even hot. my friend did not even get a to which he asked for. to top things of they added tip to the bill for a group of five

please dont waste your time and money in this so called restaurant

Worst place!!. Worst Indian Restaurant ever!! The food is horrible & so does the service. The glasses they used to serve water was very dirty & oily!! I could even see soap in one of them. Waiters...they look so miserble & they are rude to you & act as if you came there for free food!!

The best Indian buffet. The best Indian buffet in the Tampa area. Fresh naan, wonderful butter chicken and attentive service. We love it.

Great Place- Awesome Butter Chicken!. I gotta tell ya, I'm so glad to live by this great Indian restaurant! The buffet is extensive, well prepared, and they aren't stingy on what they serve. Within 2 min. any plate I'm done with was cleared off my table and my drink refilled. That's good service to me. I think I found my new favorite!

Horrible costomer service!!!. My girlfriend and I entered at 2:40 and the door said it closed at 3:00. We thought cool we made it just in time for the buffet. We sat ordered our drinks took a few bites of our food and a water boy came to us and said, "If you want another plate you have to get it now, because we are removing the food." I told him that we just arrived and that, "I don't believe I should be rushed through my meal." He told me, "oh well its store policy." They did not tell us when we sat that we only had a few minutes to eat.

This is where it gets good!

I asked to see the manager. He replied,"He is eating and cannot be disturbed (With a very disrespectful tone). When I repeated my request he started aggressively waving his hands around and repeated that the manager was too busy to talk to a customer. Then the waterboy just walked away and left us sitting there. We just left and ate at panera instead.

I have eaten there many times the food is ok for North Indian but expensive . I will never return again! South Indian is much better anyway.

Disappointing!. We took some American friends to this restaurant, for their first Indian restaurant experience. We are, originally, from the UK. Our American friends were pleased with the food but not the service. We ordered 4 entrees that should have come with Basmati rice. When we asked where the rice was we were met with 'I'm working on it'. As a consequence our meals ended up cold. We were disappointed with the overall experience. The food was slightly bland and there were only small portions. I came away from the restaurant, hungry. I am used to Indian cuisine in the UK and I love it. This was a poor representation of Indian food. I will not be visiting this restaurant. One saving grace was the ambience.

Arrogant servers. Among the worst dining experiences I ever had... certainly most arrogant staff who never apologizes for its mistakes, instead yells at you to justify itself.
