Tampa >Checkers Drive-In Restaurant
Classic hamburgers and batter-dipped fries attract fast-food fans to this drive-through restaurant..
Founded in the south in the 1980s, this chain is based on the idea of offering good food and drive-through convenience. Hamburger options include a basic single-patty burger and the two-patty Big Buford. There menu also features chili dogs, chicken strips, chicken sandwiches, batter-dipped spicy fries and shakes. The red-and-white restaurants are known for having two drive-through windows and no interior seating. However, many locations offer walk-up windows and outside seating at picnic-style tables.
If this is number 10 in Tampa. Go somewhere else.
I can't believe this even made a list that does't say "stay-away".
When you pull up to the speaker you'll not be able to understand the person taking your order. The speaker has sounded like its picking up a signal from space for years. After finally geting your order placed or decide to place it at the window. You'll be lucky if the cashier does more than put out their hand for money. Most of the time they make you stretch out of the car to give it to them.Their hands won't go far from the window. That would be like work.If you ask for something like extra napkins be prepared for an eye-roll.
After you stretch again to get your food, you'll find it to be cold and old. I guess if you like cold fries bad attitude it's the place to go.
Basicaly it's like most the fast food restaurants on Fowler.Getto.
