It's 4 a.m., you just did Ybor, and you're starving. Skip Perkins and head over to this little gem.. Late Night
We know that occasionally, everyone ends up hungry at 5 a.m. Maybe you've been out partying in Ybor City. Maybe you stayed up all night fishing or playing cards. Maybe you've been on the Red Eye from L.A. and just want something to eat before you crash.

Such occasions call for a visit to Red Twin's Cafe, Inc., a tiny eatery tucked away inside the Tampa Wholesale Produce Market, on East Hillsborough Avenue.

The Scene
We're talking formica tables, a 10-seat counter; to find it, you have to slip past the workers driving forklifts loaded with produce on the dock of the market.

The Food
On the menu are various omelets, eggs, bacon, sausage or ham, French toast, hot cakes, great Cuban coffee and Cuban toast, along with big burgers and various types of sandwiches. We're not suggesting Red's is any great shakes in the culinary department; it's a simple, no-frills grill with a lot of character. --Sara Kennedy
