Don't Ever go here
by jaimericardo52 at Citysearch
The reason I gave one star is because I was not allowed to give 0 stars. My girlfriend got me a Doberman puppy for Christmas, so we now have two little guys. She had been going to this vet for a long time and recently we took our Chihuahau, his nail ripped off and was bleeding. For our emergency visit, A. they took forever once we got there, B. they it cost us over $200 dollars. The same procedure at the Humane society would have been half that.
During the visit they we told the vet we were getting a puppy, she said that she had owned, breed, showed, and performed the procedure of cropping their ears but it had been some time. She agreed to help us with the follow up work on the process. Once we got to this A. we had to call her 4 times to get any type or response B. she is charging more than 3 times what the specialist charges and a doctor’s visit, each time. They are rude and make you wait, charge you ridiculous amount.
So a specialist that people drive from different states to come see, in the middle of nowhere, that does 1000’s of follow up visits per year charges $23 per follow up, now these locale people that don’t do this procedure want to charge $110 dollars for the same 5 minute procedure.
REALLY! I will never take any of my pets there ever again. The Humane Society is the place to go,!
Feel the need to post...

I feel very inclined to post this review because I almost didn't go to this vet because of the negative reviews below. My dog got in a little accident and needed to be seen. I came in as a walk in with a limping puppy. They saw me within 10 minutes. Huge shock. Nurse took all the needed information and once I started asking questions about xrays etc, she made the comment that if for any reason I am worried about cost, they could set up a plan for me. I had never said anything or implied about costs but I found that thoughtful. The Dr was very nice and knew his stuff. He also explained it to me so I would understand. The staff was lovely and answered all my neurotic questions, like a worried dog mom would. They took care of him, gave me my meds and sent us on our way. They cost was right on point... not more than I would think was normal. All in all, very nice place... will return.
Loving and Reliable

I have been going to Tampa Vet Hospital for about 6 years. Dr Webster is wonderful. She has always been caring - through two long illnesses with my dogs - she has been aware of costs so as not to over burden us, and she has become like a friend. The front desk staff is always welcoming and helpful. I have seen other vets at the office. They do not always seem as competent, nor are they as caring, but it may be because they do not know us as well.
money hungry

I still take my pets there because Dr. Chambliss which was the previous owner is still there part time & I see him. He has no control on the charges since the new owner sets the prices and it comes up on the computer automatically. I've been seeing Dr.Chambliss for almost 40 yrs because he is a caring and excellent vet. The day he fully retires I will never return.
