What People Are Saying About Outback Steakhouse

In Short – Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

Food undercooked; managere needs PR course
by tampa2 at Citysearch
Ordered food to go after a grueling day, explicitly asked for well done and emphasized would not eat if less than well done. Hamburgers were both pink, one with raw protions the other spots of pink, but not raw. Called and admittedly was angry, but manager suggested I not order a full size burger for kids, if I wanted a well done burger. I responded that he could, "Stop right there," that was insulting and irrelevant because regardless, a customer should get their food how they ordered. The manager then droned on and would not let me get a word in edgewise and continued to harp on how he did not insult my intelligence. I asked him to stop and let me talk and he responded, "That's all I did was let you talk and now I'm talking." I was not aware of Outback's managerial policies regarding speaking over customers and rudely recommending that the customer order something different from what they want. Admittedly, once again, I told him he needed a PR class and called him an indecent name. Sorry, felt it was coming...
- Pros: Food is good if cooked as ordered by customer
- Cons: Hamburgers undercooked regardless of order
what a stench!

One might think that OSI would do a better job in maintaining their properties since they are headquartered in Tampa, but my recent visit to this location proved otherwise. The stench emitting from the bar and restroom drains is unbearable for an establishment that serves food or drink. I wonder what the kitchen is like?
the best steak house!

I love outback because evertime i go i always feel welcomed and the service is excellent. I also love the food they serve. i would highly reccommend the awesome blossom to start with and then for the main course, you can't go wrong with the wallhalla pasta. they sure do know their steak also, so if you're in the mood for some manly grub then this is the place for you. the ceaser salad is to die for and they also serve some heavenly desserts.
Consistently good

Very popular and crowded. Best to go early or late. Avoid 6:30-8:00, especially on weekends. Great for family and friend outings. Not particularly romantic in my book.
- Pros: Reasonable prices
- Cons: crowded
Steakhouse?
by stormy99999 at Citysearch
There's no doubt that Outback has good food and, in my experience, decent service. Is it a steakhouse? Not really. The selection of beef is limited and it isn't really, I hope, there speciatly. It was very dry. If you go Outback stick to the chicken and schrimp.
- Pros: other selections
- Cons: beef selection
