Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

"fine-dining" you'd find in a Comedy. Choose Outback or Carrabbs's and at least you'll leave satisfied.

Took my wife to CK's for an evening of fine-dining. From the moment we reached our seats we were disappointed - bland decor overall. Then our server, who was under-dressed and sounded like he was missing teeth tried to correct my wife on something not stated on the menu. He then had to apologize, not once, but twice regarding items we had ordered from the menu that were no longer available. Overall, the food was average.

Again, if your minimum standard for atmosphere, service and food quality is Outback or Carrabba's, go there instead and you won't have disappointed your wife.

Great view, food and service. The steaks are great, fish is always fresh and sushi is prepaired at ordering time not pre-done. Service is always good, some better then other's but always good at the least. You can valet for free and during the day you get a great view.

Tampa's Best-Kept Secret. I went to the View this past weekend and had never been before, but I ran into another couple in the elevator on the way up and they commented on how it was the best-kept secret in Tampa. We ended up there early for our reservation but were still seated in just a few minutes at a table right by a window. I definitely recommend getting a window table; otherwise you?re missing the whole point! We were greeted with live entertainment that came and went as you revolved, which was nice because it prevented it from becoming overbearing.

I ordered the lamb and my fiance ordered the ribeye. They both came out relatively quickly but still started out with an assortment of breads with a cheese spread and extremely unique pesto sauce. I don?t care for pesto so I passed on that sauce but my fiance said it was great. The main courses were as excellent as I had hoped, both just fell right off the bones and were complimented by a well though out vegetable assortment. My one regret was not getting a more extravagant desert. Being that the holidays just came by we settled for a berry tray. The fruit was fresh and delicious, but I really should have splurged here. My last remark would have to be on the wine list. As someone who has just recently taken up wine I was a little overwhelmed by the selection and just went with the house pinot noir. I was pleasantly surprised by it and was thankful that even a glass of the house was so enjoyable. I did see a sushi bar but neither one of us care for it so we did not try it but there were plenty of people around it the whole time to lead me to believe that it would have been just as enjoyable as every other aspect of the View. I strongly recommend it whether you?re traveling through or are just a local like me looking for a new place to eat.

User review by conleyconrad7. I went to this restaurant recently and I loved the view, but the service was terrible, my waiter never came back to fill my drinks and he would always make it seem that that it was agonizing to take orders or "correct" his own mistakes. I reccommend the view the food is good, but there are much better fine dining in Tampa.

Good Food High Above Tampa Airport. The view at night might not be the same as the restuarant that rotates at the top of the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City but you can see the City of Tampa and the food is excellent. The service was friendly and the piano music added to the ambiance. Make sure that you have your parking ticket validated for free parking.

Not what I expected. When we were married 20 years ago, we had our wedding night dinner here. Good food, good service, wonderful view, great atmosphere. We went back for our 20th anniversay, and to say the least I was very disappointed. The food and service were still good, and the view is the same, however, the atmosphere was awful. The idea of a live musician playing keyboard and singing is great, but he wasn't very good and way, way, way too loud. When we were near, we couldn't carry on a conversation. What a bummer. He plays every night, so we won't be going back for dinner any time soon!

The area's only revolving rooftop restaurant offers panoramic views of Tampa Bay and vicinity.. The Scene
A clean, modern look complements the amazing view as your table slowly spins at 0.5 mph, presenting first the airport's blue lights, then the inky bay, followed by the distant glow of St. Pete and the glistening Tampa skyline.

The Food
It's American cuisine spiced with an array of ethnic influences. Indulge in rich appetizers like escargot baked in garlic butter or wheels of baked brie. Simple Caesar and garden salads are flimsy for such a high-priced restaurant, but they certainly leave room for the herb-crusted, baked red snapper accompanied by fettuccine asiago--a must have. Specialty entrees range from grilled vegetable moussaka to jerk pork tenderloin. Desserts are flavorful, but odd: apple-pie "eggroll."

CK's used to be..... Oh, how I miss the old CK's! We've been back to CK's three times since the remodel and probably won't be back unless there are some new changes. When we go to a "nicer" restaurant, we expect to see people wearing long pants, not flip-flops, cut off jean shorts, etc. We expect to see well mannered patrons, not children literally running rampant or intoxicated. obnoxious adults at the bar during the dinner hour. The new menu didn't have some of our favorites from before, but it does have all new higher prices. The service was fair, but not stellar. The food was good, but almost predictable. If some of the "atmosphere" issues were non-existant, we wouldn't mind the prices so much, but...
