Best Cuban Coffee in Town !. Again, this is my favorite place in Tampa for Cuban coffee, which I like black (cafe negro or cafe solo). The owner is very eager to please the customers, whether it's the regular politicos who stop by early on their way to work or the local folks who come in later for coffee and Cuban toast and/or lunch.

The Fourth of July Cafe has been in operation in various quarters of West Tampa since 1905.. The Scene
Surroundings that haven't changed in decades. One customer mentioned he'd been eating there since 1950. "The only thing that changed," he said, "is they used to offer only one kind of sandwich. Now they offer three."







The Food


No salads, no quiche, no hanging ferns. Simple food like Cuban toast and coffee, hot dogs and hamburgers, Cuban sandwiches. Cheap.
