The Scene – Built in 1891 by Plant, a railroad magnate who played a central role in Tampa's early history, the building originally served as Tampa's first luxury hotel. – – The Collection – The museum now sits on the campus of the University of Tampa, and has been preserved as a monument to the early days of Florida's tourist industry.
