best gift shop in Tampa. I love this shop! I discovered it three years ago and now I make this my one-stop shopping destination, where I stock up on unique inexpensive gifts, best cards ever, and stuff for my own home. The shop owner is so helpful and friendly without EVER being pushy. You'll never want to leave.

Serendipity, by definition, means the faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident. That's exactly what this quiet, quaint and quizzically cool store is all about. Candles that smell of luscious rose, and cookbooks for the sweet-toothed baker are among the items. The store is tucked away in the quiet downtown strip of Davis Island, and like the atmosphere of D.I., Serendipity gives you the feel that you've lived next door to it your whole life. Helpful and friendly salespeople won't shadow your every move, but are pleasant and knowledgeable about the gift type items, including silver jewelry, incense, journals and picture frames. Prices range from $3 or $4 for a unique greeting card to a few hundred dollars for original art pieces. You won't need to withdraw your life's savings to shop here, but bring your wallet and bank card because there will be some things you just can't pass up.
