Zudar's Deli. Just finished eating a cuban sandwich from there. The quality of the meat and the serving size are both poor. The pork patty tasted like a bland piece of chewy rubber from a microwave. On top of that, you're paying twice as much half the serving of anywhere else I've been. You'll get a much better sandwich from a grocery store deli or even the premades at a gas station.

BEST DELI AROUND. Zudar's is so DELICIOUS. I have never had anything I didn't like from there. My favorite is the "Yankee." It includes turkey breast, swiss cheese, cole slaw, and 1000

island dressing all served on Rye bread. SO GOOD. The desserts are also to die for! I've had the carrot cake which was unique with the pineapple in it. I've also tried the cookies and the best is an oatmeal cookie with orange frosting. LOVE Zudars!!

The slogan Didi Zudar adopted pretty much distills the essence of this Hyde Park deli, "Wickedly irresistible desserts.". Sweet Tooth
The source of the temptation is the display counter located nearest the door of the simple little restaurant, which each day exhibits the results of Didi's fine baking skills: deep dish apple pie, chocolate fantasy cake, Kentucky Derby pie, pumpkin praline cheesecake or pumpkin brandy pie.

More Eats
If you want to eat a meal before you sample dessert, order one of the deli's big sandwiches. Loaded with fresh, crisp lettuce and redolent tomatoes, and offered in a wide assortment of breads and meats, these huge concoctions will satisfy even the hungriest diner. Didi and her husband Marc also make excellent salads, great soups and probably some of the best fancy coffee dishes anywhere in the bay area. In short, you can't go wrong.

Unbelievable!. Do you work downtown and can't get out for lunch? Zudar's delivers - for an additional $10!! Now, in some cases, it's not too bad because you're entertaining clients. However, when it's a couple of you from the office who are too busy and very hungry - I wouldn't bother to call them. Even Dine-1-1 only charges $5.95 to go the 1.3 miles to downtown.
