The Scene
A light wood interior, fish tank housing mesmerizing tropical fish, colorful tapestries, Siamese accents, and a porch that overlooks Restaurant Row. The stunning interior, fortunately, is not in keeping with the prices on the menu, which are moderate.
The Food
Fresh, crisp vegetables; rich, thick sauces bursting with flavor; perfectly-spiced meats; flavorful curries. Start off with some crispy spring rolls, and move on to Tom Yum, a sumptuous coconut soup overflowing with fresh veggies. Next, order the red curry, a spicy stew of meat, bamboo shoots, baby corn and other veggies over fluffy rice. Other excellent dishes include Pad Thaisoft rice noodles with meat, crushed peanuts, and bean sprouts in a spicy peanut sauce; the Seafood Panang, a rich stew of scampi, red snapper, scallops and calamari broiled with vegetables and smothered in a delicious coconut sauce; or any one of the glazed duck dishes. If you have room, top it off with Thai fried ice cream.

delicious sizzling chicken. Have been there at least 15 times and always happy. I live in new York and only get to visit Tampa once or twice a month but always pleased when I go here.

I have had countless meals from Royal Palace and every one of them was consistantly delicious! There is no language barrier, unless you don't speak English...I mean seriously, gimmie a break. Great food and service to match. Two words...TOFU PANANG!!!

I love Royal Thai Palace and I absolutely crave it sometimes. I think the portion sizes are adequate and the pricing is fine for menu items. I do think the over charges for sharing and exchanges is ridiculous, but it won't keep me away. The amazing chicken is really tasty and the nam sod is the best I've ever had. We also really enjoy the pad Thai, mee krob and most of the curries. The crab rangoon is not the best. Weekend evenings can be really crowded making it difficult to even get takeout.
