Best Sangria EVER!. First of all, I live in Miami & have been all over Spain, yet Ceviche's Sangria is the best i've had EVER! Although you may have to wait for a table for some time, it's definitely worth it. The food is fresh & tasty, the service is generally very good & the Almendrado dessert is to die for. Now that i've moved back to Miami I can honestly say that Ceviche is the only thing I miss about Tampa.
This place rocks!. I went to Ceviche last night with 5 friends and had a blast! We arrived late (10:30pm) and put our name on the waiting list for a table. We ended up in the bar where we quickly got a table which is where we stayed. The waiter was great and friendly, the service was amazing even though the placed was busy. The food came out quickly and was very good. The sangria was just ok but the rest of the experience was a 10! It is also great for a romantic dinner too and has low lights and a great decor.
Great place to take guests. This is my favorite spot for out-of-town guests. Not only is the food consistantly great, the atmosphere is impressive enough to bring visitors from a "big city." Late, late hours is another reason to keep going back. What better way to cap off an evening movie or play than with delicious and share-worthy plates of Spanish food? The wait can be long on a weekend, but that's what the bar is for.
Excellent food a must do while in Tampa!.
Very fresh, beautifully concocted creations! There were four at our table we sampled A LOT....everything was delicious.
Shrimp salad, scallops, filet of beef, avacado, ham, hearts of palm salad, chicken and pork pealla.
Sangria was great ...Ray even made it to our specifications. The dessert was to die for....The Almond pastry was the table fav....all were very good though. We can't wait to go back.
DO NOT BRING KIDS!.
Whatever you do, do not bring kids to the newly opened Ceviche in St. Petersburg. Not only did the wait staff snarl when they saw our kids, but they only had 1 high chair in the whole restaurant! There was an extremely long wait and there was nowhere to stand or wait. We had to take a pitcher of sangria out on the front steps for which we were constantly hassled about how they could lose their liquor license...as their wait staff smoked cigarettes and drank liquor on the sidewalk. Our busboy literally growled as he picked up a couple cheerios off of the floor as we were leaving.
We honestly can't complain about the tapas though. It was extremely good and the sangria rocks.
No matter, we won't be going back to Ceviche with our daughter.
Hidden Jewel. You really must try the ceviche de la casa & the sangria. The other tapas are good but it's the ceviche that keeps us coming back. I really like the staff they are so helpful! We let the waiter make suggestions because there are so many items to choose from. We really take our time enjoying every morsel. Plus the atmosphere is so laid back you don't really want to leave. It's dimly lit and so romantic perfect for a special date. The location is a little weird but once your inside everything is perfect.
You Just Have To Go !.
Don't want to spoil your experiance, just go as everything is GREAT !!!!
Ask for Dennis, we were Tapas Virgins he asked what we do and don't like and sorted the whole meal including drinks. The whole experiance relaxed and informal excellent service from people who love food. Fantastic value for money, great to take a date and also big groups but I would book as it gets busy. Can't wait to visit next year when I fly back to town.
Great Little Spot. I feel sorry for those who did not have an enjoyable time. My date and I spent at least 2 hours dining with much pleasure, good service, good wine, and great food. Definietly recommend for a great date spot.
A romantic hideaway!!!. Ceviche is the best place for a date. I met my boyfriend there on a blind date and I haven't stopped going since. The food is fantastic, the service is friendly and the scenery is unbeatable.
Not what it used to be. My displeasure with Ceviche has grown over time, but my last experience was the final straw. Their focus on the customer has clearly been replaced by a penurious focus on the bottom line. My favorite dish, the sea scallops with manchego, was delivered with two intact scallops and a third with a chunk pinched off. When asked, my waiter explained that the dish is priced by weight and evidently, my third scallop was a little too plump. I was stunned! What self-respecting chef/management defaces a scallop to save a couple of pennies? No one goes to Ceviche for the bargains, but I refuse to pay a premium for 2 ? lukewarm, manhandled mollusks. Ceviche has traded quality for quantity, and thats sad. But I cant help but giggle when I think about the unlucky patron who got the remnants of my poor violated scallop.
