Delicious Bar-B-Que. Wholly Smokes is the best kept secret in town. The food is delicious, the service is great and the atmosphere relaxed. I have eaten at Wholly Smokes numerous times and the food has always been wonderful. The prices are great, too.

This no-frills eatery passes the barbecue joint sniff test: You can smell its wares blocks away.. The Scene


The unmistakable scent of Wholly Smokes can be detected from miles away. Inside, you'll find a

collection of simple wooden tables and big takeout counter with a minimum of

fuss and no frills. It's a great place to pick up food for an impromptu

picnic.







The Food


Good barbecue, Alabama-style, with tomatoey red sauce and the usual sides: potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw and corn of the cob. This is

all-American food with a vengeance. Try the excellent combo plate-chicken,

pork ribs and sliced beef and pork.
