Vegetarian friendly. I recommend Three Coins for these reasons: *** 1. There are not many greasy spoons that I can go where my pancakes will not soak up some bacon grease and I will be able to taste it. Three Coins was very mindful of my vegetarian request to ensure that my meal wasn't cooked over meat grease. *** 2. It is a greasy spoon diner with wonderful character. *** 3. There are many menu options, even for vegetarians (especially if you are the kind that eats eggs.) The coffee is typical diner swill, but what do you expect? *** 4. They are open 24 hours on the weekends! I'm not sure about during the week.
Dinner style food. Barely passes. Maybe suitable for a workday crew.. If I want to spend money for something besides fast food then this is not the place I would spend it. Great maybe for out-of-town guests you hope will never come back.
Keep the Change, Three Coins. I read the reviews here before we went so I don't know if my expectations were too high, but I was not impressed. There was dirt and debris on the floor and it didn't seem that clean to me. The waitress was nice enough, but the food was pretty much gross. My husband's meatloaf was dry, and my pot-roast was like flavorless cardboard. On top of that, my sweet potato tasted like it had vinegar on it. Yes, vinegar. I sent it back to get another one and that never showed up. The green beans had onions and red peppers in it. I asked for green beans, not green beans, onions, and peppers. I will never go back to this place again.
Great neighborhood diner!. I love this place, especially since it changed hands back several months ago. The food is great, the service is fast, all the servers are great, of course I have my favorites! The menu has a wide variety to select from, there is something to satisfy anyone's taste buds! Three Coins is always neat and clean, everyone has a smile. I like it because I can dine with my neighbors, we all seem to know each other and miss each other when one is not there for a while, a place where everyone knows you and you feel at home. Once again, the most important factor...the food is GREAT!!!! Ardis-Darlene
Movin' on up!. Sometimes when a restaurant changes ownership, the place loses a little something. In the case of Three Coins, new ownership has brought in new life. The food (which I already loved) is better. The staff is made up of the same friendly folks with some new friendly faces added in. The prices are still good and they take credit cards now! Yay, Three Coins!!!!!
