The Scene – This lovely, large downtown structure combines function with flair. The building's picturesque waterfront setting, coral and blue decor and large windows add a tropical touch to its 600,000 square feet, creating an ambience atypical among comparable centers. Since opening in 1990, the center has brought millions of people spending millions of dollars to the Tampa Bay area for meetings, trade shows, and conventions. The proximity to the massive Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel, which opened in 2000, certainly hasn't hurt. – – The Events – Locals…
